burned my finger on a metal pot about a week and a half ago, and just wondering if this looks normal for the healing process?
i’ve been putting antibiotic ointment on it and keeping it as clean as possible, but the blister ripped off in my sleep and i’m worried it might be infected or having trouble healing :(
So, I’m really in a downward spiral as I’m panicking very much. This is my first dislocation and it happened 8 days ago.
I have a completely ruptured MPFL and I have an avulsion patellar fragment (9mm).
My MCL is high grade injured with many avulsion fragments (24mm)
So, I have a check up appointment in 3 days and I’m so stressed. However, I’ve been in a cast for 8 days and lately I have been able to walk freely (as a safety measure I use crutches as advised).
I don’t feel as the knee is giving out, nor do I feel any pain even when walking or pressing all of my weight on the knee.
I tried touching the knee as to see whether it is tender to touch and it is not. From what I can tell, the swelling is very much down, but the cast makes it difficult to see.
Anyone have any advice because, as I’ve said’ these past few days have not been treating me well.
Thank you in advance
A few days ago I got upset while on the computer and clenched my right hand and then banged my clenched right hand straight down on my 6 foot folding table. The thing is when I did this, I did this right in the middle of the folding table where there is that gap... the gap where you fold and open a folding table. The other thing is I had put a napkin over that gap area and a 1 liter water bottle was on top of the napkin though the area I hit on the napkin the water bottle wasn't touching it. I am close to positive then when I banged my right clenched hand on the table, I did not hit the plastic bottle. I hit the napkin that was over that gap on the folding table.
I posted 2 photos of my clenched right hand now. The original picture and the other picture with me drawing with an arrow indicating where that scar/line is as it is hard to see and on the right of it how long the scar/line is. It appears to be maybe a bit over half an inch. I posted the picture of the area where I hit the table but did remove the 1 liter water bottle from it in the last photo. Notice the napkin and there is that long gap typical of these 6 foot folding tables.
So when this happened, I then noticed when I looked at the back side of my right hand opposite the palm, there is like a scar or line right directly to the right of my pinky knuckle that goes downward for a bit over half an inch. That is the area where I banged my clenched right hand on the folding table. If you look at it very closely, you see a line there. When I touch the area, this line is a bit raised and I feel it as well. It seems to be like a hypertrophic scar? The thing is I could say it looks and feels like a scratch as well. The thing is this line or scar is my skin tone though and it isn't red or anything like that a regular scratch
Is there any chance I broke a bone or anything like that? There has been no pain since it happened. The thing is I will have to see an orthopedic doctor soon for other issues like knee and upper arm issues and most likely need to get multiple MRI's so those are separate issues. The thing is I will most likely ask the orthopedic doctor about this as well. Does anyone know if x-rays would be more than enough for this or an MRI would be needed? Or most likely it's nothing? Would a dermatologist help with this? I saw a dermatologist years ago for an incident where I pulled my luggage zippers with my left hand and then I got a raised line or scar on my left pinky... dermatologist told me I believe it was hypertrophic scar. I can still see and feel it when I touch my left pinky now.
For this incident, I am close to 100% that scar or line was because I banged my clenched right hand right on the gap of the folding table. If I banged my clenched right hand on any part of the folding table, I am pretty certain this scar or line wouldn't be there. Does anyone here have advice? Will it ever go away on its own? Would manuka honey help?
I work in fast food, the floor was wet.
I was stressed, and man had come in with a gun. He threatened my friends, my coworkers. I didn’t even know he had a gun.
After he left I got back to work, I fell. I fell right into the metal basin we keep our custard in.
Tried catching myself with my free arm. It just went up, it wasn’t meant to go up.
I couldn’t move it, I still can’t move it without pain. I can’t move my shoulder up and down. All I can do is untense myself.
Im stressed. My paycheck comes in next Friday, I don’t want anyone to touch it. My partners saying I need to go to the hospital. I don’t want my parents seeing it and thinking they can fix it.
They’re helpers like that.
I’m scared, I’m telling myself it’s just bruised. I’m probably being dramatic and it’ll all be better tomorrow
