Switching to a law firm

29F

I have just resigned from a contractual lawyer (employee) position after 2 years of working at a Tribunal related to corporate law.

Besides, I have one year of litigation experience in a Tier 2 city.

I want to switch to a law firm, with good work culture, growth and good pay.

Even though I am applying a lot, I am having a tough time getting responses.

What's my best course of action?

Law as a career

hey. i just completed my 12th boards and am confused abt taking law as a career.

priorities: Enof money after grad ki maa baap se manga na pde

confusions:

1.corporate vs litigation

( both have pros and cons)

2.pvt uni vs govt uni

Ranked 8000 in clat I didn't get anything. parents are not willing to send Me to nlu now so no drop. (thoda financial issues bhi hain)

still appearing for cuet govt uni ka idk if I'll be able to score marks which will land me in bhu. baki central uni ka koi scope ni hai..

should I :

1.take bba business analytics from tier 2 college take a job(if I get) try for llb from du through cuet pg.

  1. do ba/bba llb from any pvt college.

or like drop law a career.

Is it normal for election officials to ask for old voter ID (2002) and family documents?

My father recently received a call from someone claiming to be from the Election Commission. They asked for his old voter ID card from around 2002. The issue is that he has changed residence multiple times, and that old card is no longer available.

They also asked for my grandmother’s voter ID as proof to confirm his citizenship, which sounded unusual to us.

I wanted to ask:

- Is this kind of request normal from election authorities?

- Do they ever ask for such old documents or family members’ IDs over a phone call?

- What should we do in this situation?

My father has already shared his current voter ID card (issued in 2013) with them on WhatsApp, as they requested.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

Reddit as a Platform?

Greetings guys hope you all are doing well. Recently my LinkedIn account got hacked and the last seen of my account was in Thailand which I have never been to. Later I came to realise I haven't done my two step authentication so that might be the reason my account got hacked I feel. I tried so many steps to retrieve back my account which ultimately fails. As an advocate I really had valuable connections in the field of law. I was posting stuff like articles. judgements and day to day happenings in High court of Madras which I was appreciated by unknown connections. now linkedin is unable to identify me and I was unable to create account with that number and email. so I am welcoming to receive your opinions that shall I put that same stuffs like articles, judgements and case updates in reddit and use this as a valuable platform for myself. whether it is advisable to create a network in reddit?? Thank you in advance guys. Have a good day!!!

Question

Okay, so let me start my rant. I’ve just finished my examinations and, unlike many others, I actually know what I want to do in the future. I want to pursue law and I’m willing to dedicate my next two academic years to preparing for it.

The problem is, I don’t really know where or how to start. I need help understanding what steps I should take, what I should be focusing on, and how to plan these next two years so I can seriously work toward a career in law.
