Friends need help to choose an exhaust

Friends need help to choose an exhaust

I had a decat installed like you can see in the picture but for some reason the joining point of the decat got bent and I saw an air leak.

Now I wanted to get a new exhaust, the only option I had in my mind were Powerrage and Norifumi. Now norifumi is kind of on the more expensive end so that already seems a bit out of range. I want it for eargasmic purposes and some happy revving. At the same time not too loud like some AEW end cans.

Also If I get just the performance exhaust do I really need to go forward with air filter change and fuel X aswell? Or can I just use the exhaust standalone?

Any help would be great, thanks!

I "overfilled" the tank. And the gas started leaking from this weird spot

Also ran into another issue — after filling up the tank, gas started leaking from a weird spot near the chain area, not from the floor-level drain like you'd expect. It looks like it might just be missing a small tube to redirect the overflow straight to the floor. Has anyone else seen this? Is that a known thing on these bikes or should I take it to the dealer?

it stops and doesn't start. What may be the problem?

My bike is six months old, the bike completely shuts off. There is some heating under the seat. Earlier it was showing some voltage problem now it is showing O2 sensor issue. yesterday i showed it to the service centre, they said it is solved but again today the same problem

can someone identify what is the problem?

Long ride bum itch

Just did a gruelling 510km ride today on my 450. My bum and thighs are itching after removing my base layer. It’s some form of sweat wicking fabric that helps keep body cool too. Reasonably does the job. But after the ride and peeling off the layer my entire lower body section was itchy and had somehow broken out into hives. Luckily the family jewels are safe😅. Any of you experienced this?

Long-term storage tips for Himalayan 450 (Mumbai)

Hey guys,

I’ll be relocating to a different city within India in a few months and won’t be able to take my bike immediately. So the bike will be sitting idle for a relatively long period.

I wanted to understand what precautions I should take to keep it in good condition during this time.

Some details:

- It will be parked in an underground parking (no direct sunlight)

- I have the stock RE bike cover

Looking for advice and/or tips for long-term storage: battery, fuel, tyres, chain, etc.

Thanks in advance! 🙌

Possible solution for vibration noise on 450s with headlight grill

Hi all! A little story which might help others. I ordered a brand new Himi with some accessories including the headlight grill. After my dealer told me how much they charge for installation of those accessories I decided to do it myself. After a first short ride to home from the dealer I was happy and didn’t notice anything, and I started installing the accessories right away, starting with the headlight grill. After installing I rode several km’s, happy but also a noise from the front caught my attention around 5000 rpm. I know, Himis vibrate, but this felt annoying and I couldn’t find the cause. I thought that it might have something to do with the break in period but after 700km it was still there. So I decided to remove the headlight grill, and double checked all torque vallues with a torque wrench. But after finishing, I noticed that the mounting bracket was touching the headlight bracket! I fixed this by simply adjusting the adjustment screw to tilt the headlight up, which created a small 1.5mm gap which totally solved the issue. I know, it might feel like a rooky mistake, but finding the cause of vibration issues can be a frustrating process so I thought it might be worth sharing. Attached a picture of the gap, I don’t have a picture of the situation before unfortunately!

Kaza Brown Coming Home Soon!!

I just booked a Himmy 450 and I’m really excited been waiting for this for a while and can’t wait to ride it. I tried checking the delivery date and tracking the order, but I’m not seeing any update yet. Is that normal right after booking, or does it take some time to reflect?

Does your royal Enfield app consume that much cellular data just for navigation?

I used it for a day or two to navigate and the data usage seemed way too high for such a basic feature. Has anyone else experienced this? Waze for example only used 20mb for a lot more navigation time

How's the AOM handlebar for offroading?

Hi, sorry if this is a repeat question. I have a slight bend in my stock handlebar from a fall at standstill, i don't really notice it but if I ever want to change it to be safe I thought i might as well shift to a better bar.

I've seen a lot of good reviews for this handlebar, but I haven't seen something specifically for offroading posture or handling. It seems to be more touring oriented. But I like taking my bike offroad pretty often. Would love to hear how it fares. Is it durable with respect to falls?

Also: The stock one got bent from a small fall, Himalayan is known to be built like a rock. Is the handlebar generally susceptible to damage?

Let's talk about highway fuel efficiency!

Hey everyone, I'm hoping to get some input on my Himalayan 450's mileage. I'm currently running a W2S air filter and a FuelX Pro+ (usually set to fuel map 10 for the better response), along with stock engine oil.

I tend to ride pretty hard on the highway—usually cruising around 110-120 kmph, which is actually faster than how I ride my Interceptor. At those speeds, I'm only getting about 22-23 kmpl, and it even dropped down to 20 kmpl on a recent stretch where I was cruising above 120. I'm meticulous with my tire pressures and maintenance, so I know the bike is in top shape.

I see folks regularly getting 26+ kmpl on the highway, so I'm trying to narrow down the cause.

Do you guys think the drop in efficiency is mostly from the high cruising speeds, or is the richer FuelX map to blame? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Himalayan 450 accessories advice (bash plate, radiator guard, windshield) – Kamet White

Hey everyone,

I recently got the Himalayan 450 in Kamet White and I’m planning to add a few essential accessories mainly for touring + some light off-road.

My budget is around ₹10K and I’m focusing on:

  • Bash plate
  • Radiator guard
  • Touring windshield

I’ve been looking at brands like Moto Torque, Zana, Legendary customs ,JB Racing, and OEM Royal Enfield parts.

A few specific doubts:

  • For bash plate: is aluminium better than mild steel for real-world use? Also for Kamet White, does silver look better than black?
  • For radiator guard: is OEM worth it over aftermarket like Moto Torque/Zana? Any airflow or heating issues? Also stock radiator guard heat hits the leg will it be reduced
  • For windshield: what height works best to avoid helmet buffeting? (I’m around 6’1”)

Usage:

  • Mostly city + weekend highway rides
  • Occasional bad roads, not hardcore off-road

Would love to hear real user experiences (especially long-term). Any brands to avoid?

Thanks in advance!

O2 sensor plug size?

I bought a decat pipe that has the second sensor bung and my bike doesn't have a sensor to plug into it. Does anyone know the thread size for the hole so I can get a plug to block it off?

Service center suggestions

My himalayan 450 is almost 19k. I could sense that my clutch plates are done for. I changed my clutch cables a few weeks back. But i want to change clutch plates before my whole clutch assembly gets messed up.

Are there any good service centres in near banglore? Near indira nagar or 10 -15 km radius?

What if i do it from outside from some unauthorised service center. I dont wanna get my warranty get spoiled too
