Shoulder Birkin 42 Gris Elephant Matte Niloticus Crocodile PSPs from Jim

Finally received PSPs today for my Shoulder Birkin 42 in Gris Elephant Niloticus Crocodile with PHW and I’ve honestly spent way too much time staring at these photos already.

Before placing this order I contacted several high-tier sellers because I knew this wasn’t the kind of bag I wanted to rush into, especially with a rare exotic combination like this. Out of everyone I spoke with, IMO Jim ended up being the most knowledgeable and communicative throughout the process which made me feel much more comfortable moving forward with him.

Timeline so far:

  • Initial inquiry: 3/18
  • Leather discussion/photos: 3/26
  • Cut leather confirmation: 3/30
  • Progress photos received: 4/11 & 4/27
  • PSPs received: 5/12

Paid $6500.

Would appreciate approval thoughts before moving forward. 👜

BK25 Barenia smooth with contrast stitching and Rose Gold Hardware by Jim

I always wanted a Barenia bag from H. As a kid my parents used to take us horseback riding and to think that this leather was the same as the leather made from the brand’s saddles is just beyond me.

What makes Barenia special is that it is a “living leather.” It changes with age instead of staying factory-perfect. Over time it develops such things as
a deep honeyed patina, darker areas where your hands touch it most, glossy glow from natural oils and wear which softens the edges and a more relaxed look and feel.

For a collector like myself who appreciates exotics and heritage materials Barenia is often considered one of the most “connoisseur” leathers. It’s less about keeping a bag pristine and more about letting it evolve into something uniquely yours over decades.

I can’t wait to have this bag in hand. These are my PSPs along with the leather cut outs from my progress photos. Thank you Fam. 👜✨

Received Micro Picotin Ostrich from Jim

I usually go for more understated bags, so I didn’t expect this Micro Picotin in Ostrich to stand out to me as much as it did once I had it in hand.

What really impressed me was the overall quality and feel of the leather. Ostrich can sometimes look off, but this one has a much more natural texture and depth in person which gives the bag a refined look.

Because the bag is so compact, small details become much more noticeable, and that’s actually where this piece surprised me most. The overall finishing, structure, and shape all feel very well executed.

I also ended up liking the Micro size more than expected since it adds personality to an outfit very easily while still feeling relaxed and effortless to carry. This feels much more like a genuinely well-made piece than just a trendy mini bag.

Jim honestly did an excellent job, sent PSPs on time and by the way I also posted my PSPs here for extra eyes you guys gave me green signals, I'm very thankful to you & especially for Jim who made my dream bag. I’m very impressed with my little beauty.

OTW

A couple more bags from Jim on the way!!!
I took my time with the QC and eventually ok’d the bags shipping. My experiences with Jim have been absolutely great! Definitely is a partner in the process as opposed to someone who just wants to make money. This, from my experience, sets Jim apart from others.

Birkin 30 Malachite Togo with GHW from Jim

I didn’t expect this bag to change how I dress as much as it did, but ever since getting my Birkin 30 in Malachite I’ve noticed myself wearing way simpler outfits just because the bag already adds enough personality on its own.

What I like most about this combo is that the color feels confident without trying too hard. Most of my bags blend into outfits, but this one actually becomes the main focus in a really effortless way.

In person, the overall build also feels quite balanced and well put together, which makes it even easier to carry without overthinking it. Jim actually did a good job getting the tone and overall finish right, especially how the gold hardware sits with the Malachite shade.

It also somehow makes even casual looks feel more put together, which is probably why I’ve been reaching for it more than I originally expected.

Really confused… any reliable sellers for top-tier Birkins currently?

Hey everyone, I’ve been researching non-stop for weeks now and I’m genuinely more confused than when I started.

There are so many mixed reviews popping up lately some people are posting amazing recent QCs from certain sellers, while others are saying the leather feels off, stitching isn’t as clean, or consistency has dropped. It’s getting really hard to tell who’s actually reliable at the moment.

I’m after a proper top-tier Birkin (closest to 1:1 possible), especially focusing on leather quality, hardware finish, and overall structure. Mainly considering 30 as an everyday bag but open to advice.

Those who’ve purchased in the last 2–3 months who would you actually recommend right now? And more importantly, which seller has been truly consistent for you across multiple bags?

Would appreciate honest recent experiences. Trying to avoid regrets on this one.

Thanks in advance!

Price: $1380

Factory: Jim

I’ve been using my B25 Beige Marfa Togo with GHW for a short while now, and I wanted to share some honest first impressions.

The Beige Marfa shade feels very balanced in person soft and neutral without looking washed out. It works easily with both warm and cool outfits, which makes it more versatile than I expected.

The Togo leather has a natural grain and feels structured but still flexible enough to soften slightly with use. It doesn’t feel overly stiff, but it also holds its shape well when placed down.

Hardware has a warm gold tone that complements the leather nicely without overpowering it. The contrast is subtle, which keeps the overall look understated.

Interior space is practical for a 25 size, enough for daily essentials without feeling bulky. The closure feels smooth and secure, and the bag sits comfortably when carried.

Overall I’m extremely pleased with the bag and the experience I had ordering this.

What made you trust a seller for the first time?

There’s a point where everyone stops just looking at photos and actually decides whether a seller feels trustworthy or not. Curious what that moment was for other people because it probably differs a lot.

For us, it usually isn’t the “perfect” PSPs that do it. Weirdly, sellers who show small imperfections or don’t overly hype every bag tend to feel more believable. The overly polished approach sometimes has the opposite effect.

Communication matters too. Not fast replies necessarily, but consistent ones. Clear answers, realistic timelines, and not dodging detailed questions about leather, structure, or hardware.

Another thing that helps is seeing how a seller handles criticism or issues. A lot of people look great when everything goes smoothly. The real test is how problems get handled once something is slightly off.

And honestly, community feedback plays a huge role. Not just glowing reviews either, mixed opinions sometimes feel more trustworthy than endless perfect ones.

Interesting thing is that trust usually builds from small details over time rather than one huge moment.

Birkin 25 Chocolate Togo + Brushed GHW

I wasn’t expecting this bag to become one of my most used pieces this quickly, but my new B25 has honestly been getting carried nonstop since I received it last Monday. The combination feels very effortless in person. The Chocolate tone gives the bag a deeper and more refined look compared to lighter neutrals, while the brushed hw keeps everything feeling understated instead of flashy.

One thing I really ended up appreciating is how easy this bag is to style casually. I originally thought I’d save it for more dressed-up outfits, but it actually works just as well with simple everyday looks which surprised me a lot. Size-wise, B25 has also been much more practical than I expected. It still gives that structured Birkin look without feeling too bulky to carry around regularly. Overall, this combo ended up feeling a lot more versatile and wearable than I imagined when I ordered it.

So my bag finally arrived and I honestly couldn't wait to come back and share this. Those of you who saw my PSP post know how long I've been waiting for this moment. the anticipation was real and I checked my tracking way more times than I'd like to admit.

Mini Kelly in Vert d'eau Matte Alligator with GHW, honestly I don't even know where to start. I did a lot of research before settling on Jim, went through so many options and reviews before I even reached out. The bag arrived and it's exactly what I hoped for. Vert d'eau in person is a really pretty color, sits somewhere between mint and sage depending on the light. The matte alligator texture feels solid and quality, not plasticky at all. Hardware is weighty, clasp works perfectly, stitching is clean with no loose threads or uneven edges. Overall finish is really neat. Happy with it.

What’s a bag you liked online but didn’t like in hand?

Ever had a bag that looked perfect in photos, great color, nice structure, everything seemed right, but then in hand it just didn’t hit the same?

Happens more often than expected. Sometimes it’s the leather that feels different than imagined… either too stiff, too dry, or just lacking that “rich” feel that came across online.

Other times it’s proportions. Certain bags photograph really well, but in person the size or shape feels slightly off, like it doesn’t sit the way it looked in pictures.

Hardware can also play a part. It might look fine visually, but feel lighter or less substantial than expected, which changes the whole experience.

Even small things like how the bag opens, how the handles move, or how it sits when carried can completely shift the impression.

It’s interesting how something can check all the boxes visually but still not feel right once it’s actually in hand.

Man, I've been reading and seeing all these posts recently who are desperately trying to ruin Jim's image in the subs I don't usually post but this time I needed to speak up about my experience with Jim because the negativity just doesn’t match what I received.

My Vert Birkin 25 arrived last week and I’m still obsessed with it. The color is this beautiful deep green that looks expensive even in normal lighting. The leather has such a nice feel. It holds its shape perfectly and has that soft, premium touch when you hold it. The stitching looks tidy, the edges are smooth, and the hardware feels heavy and well made. I keep opening it and checking it because I’m genuinely impressed.

Even though this was my first time ordering from him and had this good experience. It upsets me a lot when I see people constantly trying to put him down with rumors and shady talk. Feels like as soon as a seller starts delivering top quality, some people just can't take it. Instead of doing better themselves, they just start spreading rumors. It’s honestly so unfair.

I’m just a normal buyer, nothing more. I just really like what I have got. If you’re new to this and feeling unsure because of all the noise online, trust the people who have actually received their bags. The quality speaks louder than any comment section.

Thanks Jim, really happy with my bag.

Got my Kelly Cut in Gold Swift with GHW from Jim and after using it a bit, I’m actually really happy with it.

Swift feels smooth and gives a softer, more natural look while still holding shape nicely. The Gold color is well balanced and I love how well it pairs with the hardware.

Stitching is clean, edges are neat, and the flap sits properly. Hardware has a decent weight too.

u/CeeOhDeeWhyTTV — 8 days ago

Feels like when people first get into bags, there’s always that one detail that gets way more attention than everything else.

Stitching is probably the biggest one. A lot of focus goes into whether it’s perfectly straight or super tight, but that alone doesn’t really say much about overall quality. Plenty of bags can have clean stitching and still feel off in other ways.

Stamp/debossing is another one that gets overanalyzed early on. Font, depth, placement, all important, sure, but it’s rarely what makes or breaks the overall impression once you start looking at the whole bag.

Same with hardware shine. Super glossy or super matte gets picked apart a lot, but how the hardware sits, feels, and ages tends to matter more than just how it looks fresh out of the box.

Over time the focus usually shifts from isolated details to how everything comes together proportions, balance, finishing, feel in hand.

Curious what others think, what’s one detail beginners tend to over-focus on?
