Remember [[Angus Mackenzie]] and [[Axelrod Gunnarson]]? What about Ilvo Sulmu? Here are some of the forgotten purple legends of Magics fourth expansion, Legends™.
Random Facts & Trivia
- Umbris and Skrimbo Jimbo were the largest vanilla creatures until the printing of [[Enormous Baloth]] in Legions™.
- Graavo Shoczaill was printed with the typo "Ramage: 2" as opposed to "Rampage: 2", inspiring the card Rammage in Unglued™.
- Doppel had the greatest difference in rules text to oracle text so far, the novella present on the Legends™ printing of the card was later reduced to "You may have Doppel as a copy of target artifact or creature, except it is blue and purple. Otherwise, Doppel enters as a 1/1."
- The story of Halfdane and Squmbi was further elaborated on in the events of Shapeshifter's Paradise by Scott McGough as part of Legends Cycle III.
- The naming convention established by Pyrdolon en-Kor was later used during Tempest block with the design of the Kor, influenced the design of [[Ghostfire]], and may have inspired the story of Zendikar block and the Eldrazi. That's a lot for a Legend that's still stuck on the Reserved List is reaching over a $1k price tag.
- The art of Metis Nous and [[Nicol Bolas]] both provided by Edward P Beard, Jr. were accidentally switched during their Chronicles™ printing.
- Ugin and Nicol Bolas were originally rivals and not brothers, according to Richard Garfield in an interview. They were changed to be brothers later on to "avoid the dragon yaoi allegations" confirms the designer.
