How are people voting today?

Today the 7th May local elections are being held; polls will be open until late in the evening.

I'm trying to canvass opinion online. How will people be voting?

Please remember, your vote always matters.

Different parts of Harrow

Hello,

We are currently looking at different places to live based on work, family etc

Harrow ticks a lot of boxes on paper based on location, but my partner and I don’t know the area at all.

What are the differences between Harrow on the Hill, West Harrow, North Harrow etc?

We would be looking to raise a family.

Obviously we are v early in our search and would spend time in the area further down the line

Thanks

This landed in my inbox this week from a Rayners Lane reader: "I live in Rayners Lane and NOTHING ever happens here... It is nice to see there are other things around the area, which gives us a chance to escape the boredom of takeaway city!"

That one is why this newsletter exists. And while you're escaping takeaway city this week:

ELECTION ADMIN DEADLINE (Tuesday 28 April, 5pm): Proxy vote applications and free Voter Authority Certificates must be in by then. If you haven't sorted your photo ID situation, today is the day. [Election details in the newsletter]

TRANSPORT: Piccadilly line is not running between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge today - use the Metropolitan line for that stretch. And next weekend, the Amersham/Chesham/Watford branch of the Metropolitan line also has no service.

WEEKEND PICK: Duck Pond Market at Manor Farm, Ruislip is on Sunday 10am-3pm - first Sunday of the month food and craft market. Worth the walk if you've never been.

Full issue with quiz nights, baby first-aid session, sound bath, networking brunch, and everything else:

Pet of the Week this week is Nova, a rescue dog who needs to be the centre of attention and has an obsession with teddies. Exactly right.

Every month one subscriber wins a £10 M&S gift card. Two seconds to subscribe and you're in.

More somewhere you can sit, work or read for a bit without loud music or heavy foot traffic. Ideally around Harrow on the hill or near by but happy to walk / travel if it's worth it.
