Do you think this is light enough to put live colour vivid green on? Or do I need to lighten again?
It’s still damp

It’s still damp
I went to the stylist a couple days ago and asked for pink hair. She assured me it would be a bright pink like I wanted but there was a significant language barrier so it was difficult to communicate. I checked the back today and this is what it looks like :( I really want to remove the orange-y brassy tones and I wish there was more pink. I paid $150 (in my country it’s very expensive) for a dye and cut total so I feel a bit upset. I really want the second photo’s tone next time I colour my hair - this is not the reference photo I gave my stylist I was just scrolling today and saw it and rlly liked it. She bleached my hair twice and toned it with a purple tone. She said she didn’t want to cause much damage. I rlly rlly want the muted dusty rose colour of the second image. How could I do that at home? I’m getting purple shampoo to cancel out the brassiness.
I ordered a developer yesterday it arrived today and it’s a year out of date, will it still work?
My hair is level 7, and I have gray hairs ONLY in the inner layers of my hair.
I was thinking about coloring it with Wella Color Touch 7.0 and 6 vol because it’s an alkaline demi.
I read that for some people, a visible regrowth line was left from that demi color and it didn’t fade out completely. I do not want a harsh regrowth line on my head!
I’m also looking at Wella Shinefinity because it’s an acidic demi, but it seems to turn out very dark. I want to keep my current level and not go darker.
I honestly don’t know what to do anymore—I’m really confused.
Okay so ignore how messed up my hair looks rn cause I tried cutting it by myself yesterday and yeah… I cut wayyy too much off but what I really need help with is this uneven color I have. How do I fix that? It’s like an orangish-yellow on my scalp and the top of my hair is light blonde.
the first pics are my current hair color and i’m trying to achieve a darker orange. i’ve tried a million techniques to get the yellow out and this is the lightest i can get it. i bought the toxicity GDY and im wondering if anyone can tell me if it’ll work on top of my hair and won’t turn neon.
i would wait longer to slowly get the dye out but i have a concert in a week that i rlly dont want yellow hair for😭
First pic is my hair now (damp) second is the goal
If toner what toner do you recommend
Original formula:
All Joico Lumishine
4RRV+6RRV (half n half) + 20 Vol (half dye, half developer)
Products I have:
Original formula
5RRV Joico Demi perm
Ruby Red Joico Semi perm (alone or with conditioner)
I have touched up the roots since the original photo and done the semi+conditioner once. I still can’t get it back to the original color.
I have not tried the Demi perm yet. I’m so scared of over-saturating the ends!
I am so confused by which is best per online instructions! I really want the depth and dimension of first two photos. The orange is where I’m at. Solution and dye routine most welcome.
I used permanent jet black mixed with blue black dye 6 months ago. I want to remove/ lift the color and re-dye to get a medium brown. How would I go about that? Any recommendations or tips? Side note: I don’t have much experience with hair dye. I’ll attach a picture of what my hair currently looks like.
I have black natural hair.
Last year I dyed it purple permanent dye- with the outcome of my hair still looking black ,but with a purple tint in the sun.
3 weeks ago l dyed it emerald green (permanent) so l can have black hair with green tints in the sun.
This has backfired and my hair now looks light brown and streaky in some parts!
I would like to colour correct at home using no bleach and I am very wary of hair
BREAKAGE as I have bad hair loss already..
I wanted to get any tips on which method (Vit C/Colour oops) would be sufficient and
once done - apply to green permanent hair dye again?
has anyone used this hair dye or knows if it’s good or not? my hair is naturally brown and i had a load of blonde highlights in 2024 and then have been getting the darkest brown toner on it in the salon since then, but I’d rather start doing it at home as the colour is more solid now. i am in the UK and since it’s getting sunnier i can see more orange tones and the fading xx
My cousin and I put some hair dye on her hair and the dye liquid accidentally poured down to my sister's wooden table and flat weave rug/carpet😭 help pls im gonna get an ass whooping (my cousin tried tutorials from tiktok on the carpet, like alcohol, soap, and stuff now it's still wet) also I put some alcohol over the parts where they have dye on the table PLS HELPPP
Okay so im north African(Egyptian)so i have naturally very curly hair (like in picture) but in early of 2024 i cut my hair into this scene/emo haircut (picture is how my hair currently looks straightened) and i have never dyed my hair before but i always wanted twilight sparkle hair since i was 6 yo kinda like this picture but wanted the pink highlights to also be on my fringe in a way but anyways my hair is very curly i usually straighten it is it possible to get smth like that done by a professional or will my hair texture make it harder to achieve this look 🥹(after straightened ofc)will it slso be possible to achiever the dark blue part with minimal to no bleach or is that required to achieve this colour
Throw away account because this is humiliating. I’ve been dying my hair to an almost black for a while. It was originally supposed to be just a dark brown, but it came out black on my hair and I went .but almost a year ago I decided to go back to closer to my natural color, which is a medium to dark brown. I get regrowth touchups every 3 to 4 weeks because my hair in front is gray. The brown looked very natural on me, and blended really seamlessly into the almost black so that it looked like I was just growing out my natural hair color and wasn’t even that noticeable happy with how it looked.
Earlier this week, I went to get my regrowth touched up, and my stylist accidentally put the almost black on my roots. It looked like almost black and back, a stripe of dark brown, and then black at the hairline. I really hate the way the black looks and the stripe looked ridiculous so I went days later to get it fixed.
The stylist did a bleached washed on the black at my roots, and it came out very orange, of course. So then she put a glaze on it (which I thought looked very warm at the time, but I’m not an expert). got darker, but was still very orange. So I went into a different stylist yesterday, and she did a color where she did color removal without a bleach, and then put a very cool toned glaze on it. This was a very experienced stylist who, as far as I could tell did everything right by the way. i’m not sure if the glaze did much of anything, but it still looks very orange. The pictures are what it currently looks like. This will get even worse as it grows out because I’ll have the normal looking brown in the regrowth and then this stripe of orange.
I did some googling, and it sounds like this might not be fixable. I’m extremely distraught. My hair is such a huge part of my identity and I’m worried I’m just going to have to shave it off at this point. My hair is so slow growing, but it would take decades to get it back.
I have very curly, dry, frizzy hair that tends to suck up hair dye. Dyes that are supposed to be permanent or even temporary tend to never wash out or even fade much. If anyone has any suggestions or insights, or just experience with a similar situation, I would really love to hear any advice. Sorry for any typos, I’m dictating and it sometimes does strange things.
i need someone to tell me if i mix a pink toner with conditioner, will it tone greenish light brown hair? quickly pls
Hi 👋🏻
So I’m allergic to PPD which is in most hair dyes and I’ve always wanted black hair or split dye black and bleach I can have bleach as PPD isn’t in bleach but the black is an issue I’ve tried manic panic black which don’t cause any reactions but everytime I wash my hair it stains my bleach side and goes a horrible green which can just be washed out so what I’m asking is dose anybody know a good PPD free black hair dye that won’t wash out and stain my bleach hair also one that don’t fade every 3 days
Thank you in advance ☺️
Okay hi hello! I give a lot of advice in here but now it’s my turn to ask. No pics as I’ve been in medical crisis and not up to pictures but I can describe it pretty well, I think well enough to get suggestions.
I have much over a decade experience dying mine and others’ hair, so I’m nowhere near a newbie and don’t have any questions about process, damage, any of that. I know how to do what I’m going to do, just kind of undecided on what product to pick. I’m blond again for the first time in forever, hooray! Problem is every time I’ve been blond before I’ve been a platinum white Wella T18 diehard. This time I’m wanting a much warmer look (I’m a natural redhead, just suits my undertones better). I’m sticking with Wella, been using it for too long to switch, but I’ve no idea which one to use.
Right now my hair is a warmish level 9 for the first ~12 inches shifting into a more neutral level 8 to 7 in the last 10 or so inches. I like the transition, I’m good with that. I’m aiming for a honeyish alllllmost almost strawberry blond just shy of the strawberry. Like sip of LaCroix amount of strawberry. I’m thinking either T30 or T35 of the liquid toner? Or mayyyybe even T50 with the cream toner but I’m worried about going too pinkish. Thoughts? Experiences? Advice? I really don’t want to land back in ginger territory.
Sorry for the book of text, I’m not a concise person 😅
