just kind of a ramble since i’m really proud of what i’ve made, and i’m missing the tour so bad🙁

i started making my own hail the sun pieces when i went to see them in chico 3/26/25, my 3rd time seeing them. i’m a massive pow! fan (if you couldn’t tell) and i started with the shirt. it took me way too long to make but it ended up so cool. i got to talk to and show shane after the show, it was so surreal because man his work on that album and just overall is astonishing.

then 10/10/25 i saw them in sf, when cut.turn.fade.back was coming out. so i made a drooling class hoodie and wore the pow shirt again underneath 😭 i ran into john at the merch booth after their set. he was so sweet and amazed by what id made, it was such a sweet moment.

and here we are now. second to last show of the US leg of cut.turn.fade.back tour, at ace of spades sacramento, 5/6/26. the place i’d seen them for the first time and then again for the wake anniversary so it felt special to me. i got vip for the first time for this show. i decided this time i wanted to go big. i started late so there’s not nearly all the ideas i had, but i was set on making something out of hail the sun patches. so i started painting like crazy, found a good black skirt base and went to town. so many hours and nitpicking at little details but you know what. i’m really happy with what i accomplished. it’s not perfect and i had bigger plans i just didn’t have time for. but diy is not perfect and the fact i love this band enough to put all this time in to make something unique and mine is what makes it special to me. they loved my skirt and i got them to sign my original pow! shirt. made the instagram too:,) a band i’ve loved for what feels like forever now.

i am so incredibly grateful for the feelings, inspiration, and memories this band continues to give me. i love making things and i love music and im so lucky im able to express it in so many ways. i don’t know if i could live in a world where creativity isn’t all around me.

from my last post. i will post shane’s response in the comments as soon as they send me the screenshot of it. i just realized i missed it in the screenshots but they did tell me shane apparently responded. i’m a lil sad. never idolize anyone yall. // ok so why is the last post filled with normal people and this one is filled with complacent jackasses? tf? where did everybody go?//yall are arguing with the wall lmao i am not going to get my feelings hurt from secret conservatives all spewing the same propaganda “it shouldn’t matter!!” just,,,,, just say you don’t share the band’s politics. it’s really okay. but you’re making it an unsafe space when you cosplay as someone who didn’t try to vote my rights away💀

UPDATE: apparently it’s kenny collette from lady radiator. i’m trying to find proof but haven’t seen anything yet// i don’t have the patience to wait for this person who was probably vague on purpose to come back and elaborate to everyone they left hanging and google isn’t much help, who are they talking about?

I was at the SLC show tonight. I drove 10 hours to see them and paid for VIP and everything. As you know, HTS will do a song vote. In the VIP Q&A, I had mentioned 1109 being my favorite when John mentioned Secret Wars was his favorite album/EP to play and Donovan mentioned that 1109 was up for vote tonight, and if we all voted, there was a good chance it would be picked. I was ECSTATIC. Donovan then named off a few other songs on the list and 60 Minute Session Blocks was on there and everyone was like, "WAAAIT," but I was on a mission. A lot of people were saying they wanted 60 Minute.

I chatted with the band a little after, they were so sweet and it was awesome. I got to show them my nails that I painted and talk about music. Rosario took a picture of my nails, too. I was in the CENTER AT barricade and ready. I asked as many people as I could to vote for 1109. I even barked for someone just so they would vote. I heckled people in the bathroom, too. LOL. When they showed the code on stage, I held up text on my phone to everyone behind me to vote for 1109.

Finally, the moment of truth came and...the pick was 60 Minute.

Allen and I made eye contact and shared a moment of dramatically clutching our hearts in light disappointment, but it was okay. It's a solid song. The show went on and it was AMAZING.

Encore time came and everyone was yelling Railmaster because that's what the encore has been here and there, paired with Black Serotonin. When they walked out on stage, Allen points at me. Donovan then says, "someone here today drove TEN hours just to see us." AND THEN THEY PLAYED 1109. I INSTANTLY STARTED UGLY CRYING. It was such a surreal moment, I'm still REELING from it. During the "tear-eyed" lyrics, Donovan looked right at me as well which was embarrassing since I was obviously sobbing the whole time.

After the encore was over, John came right to me and handed me a setlist.

When we all finally filtered out, I talked to Rosario and she told me how they were all rooting for 1109 and my efforts had put it at SECOND place for the song pick, but they had to stay true to the crowd, but they caved when the encore came around. TvT Allen walked by and I thanked him and he was like, "we played it for YOU!" and I responded, "OH I WAS UGLY CRYING IT WAS SO BAD." AND HE SAID, "OH I KNOW. I SAW," had a good laugh, and that was my perfect, surreal, dream come true of a night.

I love this band so much.

I'm so lucky to wake up and Hail the Sun.

And I got to meet Daisy! She was super cool and friendly, and the band slayed the stage--like studio recording quality good! I got a signed drumstick from Resilia, and I bought one already signed by Donovan and Allen that was for sale at the show ❤️ This was one of my favorite shows I've ever been to!

I had this project for my class where we had to design a Times Magazine cover of a person of our choice as Person of The Year, and I chose Donovan Melero cause I mean cmon, it’s Donovan🎀

Saw hts for the first time last weekend, one of the greatest nights of my life :’) I miss them SO much

Hello, I purchased the VIP ticket/package for 5/4 in Berkeley, CA but I haven't gotten an email updating me on what time I should get there by. I know it's still a couple days away, but I just get anxious. Anyone know if they send it the day before? Or I should now be expecting it?

It's really weird too, because after purchasing it sent over to the shop app and is tracking it like it's something I'll be getting in the mail? When my understanding is all the items included in the package is given in person. Correct me if I'm wrong.
