Need urgent help to book H4 visa appointment urgently for my spouse in India. I have been checking everyday but there is no availability but I have seen many people were able to book an appointment. I need some guidance to book an appointment. Me and my spouse were in a relationship for 5 years and now married. Due to the appointment being rescheduled by USCIS, our long distance is extended again. It's been a very tough to live with future being at stake, lot of uncertainty. I am loosing hope. Please help me.

If there is any trusted agent, please share their contact. Also, share your thoughts on booking an appointment thru an agent if a good move or not. I have heard accounts being locked due to continuous checking by agents.

Hi good folks, Just wanted to share my timeline with you in case it gives you a relief. I self applied for COS to H4 (from F1) and EAD ( as my spouse had approved I-140 at the time) back in Octomber 2025 and my approval for both H4 and H4 EAD came together in first week of April 2026. It matches the USCIS published processing times which is currenlty 6 months.

Hi, my spouse is currently on H1B and we have filed for a COS status to H4+EAD in December, 2025 with start date as June. Can someone share any recent experiences of their timelines? USCIS website in December said 80% cases should be resolved in 3.5 months. Now, it says 6 months.

Also, what happens if the application remains pending after June? Will she need to stop working? Usually does H4+EAD get approved together in this scenario ?

Is there a way to get this expedited?

Hi, I have a valid h4 and h4 EAD until July 12 2026. I have a trip planned from April 18 to May 15 which is well within my i94 validity. I also have a h4 and h4 EAD receipt issued in February . Not approved yet. What are the risks associated with this travel. I do need to travel due to an emergency. Company’s immigration lawyer said travel is okay.

Looking to see if anyone has faced something similar or can share advice.

Timeline:

•	H1B (Form I-129) + H4 (Form I-539) filed together → Receipt date: July 1, 2025

•	H4 EAD (Form I-765) filed → Sep 3, 2025

•	Both H1B and H4 are still pending

When I filed my H4 EAD, I already included:

•	I-129 receipt notice (H1B)

•	I-539 receipt notice (H4)

Now I received an RFE asking for:

1.	Proof of spouse’s status (latest I-129 showing status/extensions)

2.	Evidence of approved/pending I-539

My confusion:

•	I already submitted both receipt notices with the original EAD packet

•	Both cases are still pending, so I don’t have approvals yet

Questions:

•	Has anyone received a similar RFE even after submitting receipt notices?

• What are the chances of getting approval for H1 and H4 visas before June 1st, considering that I need to submit my response before that date?

•	What did you include in your RFE response? (resubmitted receipts, prior H1B approvals, I-94, pay stubs, visa stamps, etc.?)

Any guidance or shared experience would really help. Trying to respond correctly without causing further delays.
