PLEASE HELP ME!

So I have two guinea pigs and have had them for about two years now.. my boyfriend and I got them together but since he is on the road a lot, I am mostly the one taking care of them. The pet store we got them from said they were for beginners pet owners but they are not!! I love them but sometimes I can’t help but feel like my life would be better without them. The constant cage cleaning, the constant mess from hay and pellets, the fact that they don’t show me an ounce of affection, the fact one has expensive vet bills from constantly refusing to eat! I’m exhausted and it makes me feel like I should rehome them but that would prove that I’m lazy or a failure or something! I just need some encouragement or advice please help me.. please enjoy a baby pic of them tho..

Feeling sad and overwhelmed

A month and a half ago for my 18th birthday I bought my first 2 guinea pigs from a local petstore, both female however i was assured by the owner and breeder that neither where pregnant, fast forward to today one gave birth to 3 babies and the other is heavily pregnant, I am beyond overwhelmed I got another 4x2 pen but the thought that my 2nd guinea pig is also pregnant is stressing me so much, I love these pigs and i am so scared because this is my first time ever owning guinea pigs and any small animal in general, i am also having trouble finding homes for the babies because my friends who said they where going to adopt them had to back out I do not have the time, money, or space for 5+ guinea pigs

Cuddly piggie

I think what happened between him and his brother made my bond with him stronger, before he never sat in my lap and would bite me harshly. Still sad he got hurt but he seems happier alone

It’s been about 2 months without him… 💔

I have 2 baby girl piggies that definitely cheer me up, but I really underestimated the pain that would come with my lil guy passing. Missing him so much 💔

Smudge, one of my two red eye boys 🩷

Anyone else with red eye animals find it very off putting with the amount of people getting grossed out about their eyes? My boys are the sweetest, funniest little characters and it genuinely makes me feel so sad every time.

They totally melted my heart.

I crocheted these little hats for them with yarn all by myself. The fabric is super skin-friendly and fits them perfectly. They look absolutely adorable in them! I only left the hats on for less than five minutes though — I took them off right after taking photos.

Lost fair under eye

Hi. My baby has had this for a week and it's starting to worrying me that fur is not growing back. She is utterly fine, no behaviour change, eating and squeaking for veggies as of it was the end of the world. She's a bit aggressive scratching herself something but just as usual. My other piggie had something similar, though the furless spot was smaller. I don't think it could be fungal infection or anything like that because I clean their hay tray every day and I use fleece as bedding which I change regularly. Also, the other piggie is absolutely fine. I clipped their nails yesterday, and didn't see anything strange. Her skin is pink. Has anyone had anything similar? Is there any cream or eye drops I could use?
