Ich habe A2 bestanden!!! so schwer. so glücklich. Zum Glück habe ich einen einen super online Lehrer. Alleine zu lernen macht wenig spass und ist so schwer :(
Hello, I'm 26f German student learning it for the first time but I am struggling with the listening and speaking exercises. I have been exposing myself to different German content to also get familiar with different German dialects but I am struggling. I'm better at reading and writing exercises but listening and speaking have me stumped.
Is anyone open to practising this with me? I'd be very grateful for this.
Hello, i'm a 30 yo F looking for a German speaking partner, someone who takes it seriously and is willing to practice on a daily basis, my level is very basic, and i use Telegram.
Hello everyone,
I’m currently studying German at A1 level in Germany and looking for a study partner to practice together. I’m hoping to improve grammar and speaking skills, and I’m open to flexible times that work for both of us.
I’ve set aside the next three months to focus on learning German intensively, aiming to reach B2 level.
If you’re also learning and interested in practicing together, feel free to reach out.
how to start with learning the language without feeling overwhelmed but at the same time making progress daily
I been learning for a bit more then a montha nd i been curious how far can i expect to go with it. Ofc i dont expect to lesrn C1 or C2 with it but i would be happy if i can get to B1 and then expand using other source material.
I want to learn the language, but I’m starting from zero
I have been learning German for a while, and I already know quite a lot of vocabulary and grammar rules. I can often understand texts, recognize structures, and explain some grammar points. But when it comes to actually speaking, I still struggle a lot.
I often feel like the words disappear when I need them, or I cannot build sentences fast enough. Sometimes I know the rule in theory, but I cannot use it naturally in conversation. It is frustrating, because I feel like I know more German than I am able to actively speak.
Why does this happen? Is this a normal stage in language learning? And what can I do to improve my speaking ability and become more spontaneous when I speak German?
I would really appreciate any advice, especially from people who went through the same thing.
Thank you!
I found translations for almost all other types of military units except this one

Hello everyone! 😊
I’m currently at A1 level in German and planning to improve my skills. I’d love to connect with people who are also interested in improving together.
Maybe we can talk daily for 10–15 minutes and practice with each other. If you’re interested, feel free to connect!
I have 0 experience in ger, man, I haven't even seen the alphabet.
But I literally need to learn German for fun. Need to speak the German language
Give me some easy ways to start. Can I reach a preschool-level speaking proficiency within 2 months?
So next year I am getting the B1 test for German, but the problem is I FUCKING SUCK AT GERMAN! Man I swear I am like at A1 level, in the A2 test I almost got no points I swear, but I want next year test to be different, I want to get a good grade! So it's on august 2027 I think, and I NEED to become a MASTER of German in 1 year (nah, not a master but at least enough to pass the B1) but the problem is I have no idea how. I tried Duolingo but I calculated (estimated) the time and... I mean it's not 100% discarded, I would reach B1 level in the right time, but I would have to do 1 hour of Duolingo every day, and damn is boring and time consuming. So uhh I was thinking watching series I watched too much but in German, I want your opinions on that, and uhh if you can give me tips or directly give me German courses that could help I would really appreciate it. I just have 1 year to do it. Hope you can help.
"treffen" means two things:
- to hit (a target)
- to meet/encounter
The common underlying theme is a "crossing paths".
Both meanings can use the same basic structure of verb with direct object, so often, the only way to tell them apart is context.
- Thomas trifft den Mülleimer.
- Thomas trifft den Chef.
The meeting-treffen can also be used reflexively. This is clear then.
- Ich treffe mich mit Maria.
- Wir treffen uns.
Hi everyone,
I have my A1 certificate but I know I still need a lot of work, grammar, sentence structure, and vocabulary are all areas I want to genuinely improve. I'm committed to putting in 30 minutes to an hour every single day covering writing, listening, speaking, grammar and vocabulary.
What I'm really looking for is someone who will show up daily, no matter what. Not someone who checks in twice a week or disappears after the first few days. Just two people holding each other accountable and making real progress together, one day at a time.
I'm based in Dubai (GST) but open to any timezone. We can connect on Discord, or Telegram.
My Goal is to complete A1 by MAY end.
Drop a comment or DM me if this sounds like you.
Ich habe ein buch zum Deutschlernen entdeckt und wollte mit euch teilen. "Nur eine Zigarette und andere Geschichten" ist sein Titel.
Hello, my question was inspired by a search about my ancestors (in Südtirol). Browsing through digitized registries I got curious about what I believe are the occupations.
I do know a little bit of German (still have the goal of going back and learning more, and little curiosities like this might help). But I can't figure out how to read this.
Can you read this word?
Also, do you happen to know where to find information and vocabulary about old occupations?
Thanks, I hope it is not too off topic
