Everybody was very interested in the character gacha pins last time so I thought I’d share them in better detail this time.

I started collecting these on my second and third trips in Tokyo, Hakone, Kobe, Osaka, Yokohama, Kyoto, etc. They are often found at Kiddyland and random tourist shops near major destinations like Himeji Castle.

I wonder if anyone knows of a map where all of the different ones are located? I can’t wait to go back and find more!

I've been to Japan 3 times in the past couple of years (was also there during a 3 hour layover over a decade ago). Gachapons were always the highlight of each of these trips. Instead of stuffing all my gachapon prizes in an obscure cardboard box, I will re-capsule them all and display them in this gachapon machine I just bought.

Collected most of these my last trip to Japan with a few from previous trips.

Also saw someone on YouTube use these storage boxes for storage and thought it was brilliant. Only problem it doesn’t fit larger (not shown) gachas.

The charm ones are getting really hard to find in Japan, so I had to get a Twitter account to get news on product releases from the gacha shops around my area. I only started rolling a couple months ago to help out my friend who's living abroad and ended up getting too addicted....

So addicted to the point that I started trading with people on Twitter to get the characters I want with my extras. Mercari is quite dangerous too haha

Many good pulls in Sendai and Tokyo on this trip. Second slide is my cousin’s and her husband’s pulls.

In Tokyo right now and walked into this place with rows of gacha machines.

Have a few coins left before I head back. Any series you'd recommend pulling? Or ones to avoid?

I bought this figure off depop and i’m deeply obsessed with him .. i’m trying to find a name for him and i’ve found the page of the creator , but i unfortunately cannot translate the bottom text - if anyone knows what this says or can find a way to translate , it would be a great help !

Just got two machines for our shop in Alameda. Excited to start bringing more dope gacha to the island. Might try and make some of our own custom ones too 🥰 made me miss Japan so much but so happy to finally own a gacha tower ✨

Still need to figure out how to switch out the front panel pages.

Or if I have to order from Japan then I would like help with good websites. Refills with the paper inserts and all that.
