Found a frame from the junkyard and decided to experiment with some scrap metal, some spare parts and a motocross monoshock
All original! Shaft drive with a seven speed rear hub with the rear brake built into the hub. Gonna put some more street and gravel oriented tires on it and maybe some bars that sweep back more and call it good
A post reminded me of a project I had with turning an "adult tricycle" into something more fun.
It certainly was!
I didn't use it that much due to storage space constraints, but it turned out to be much more viable and fun than I predicted.
If fitted with a proper backrest for bracing, and if I had shorter legs, I'd be temped to actually keep it.
Built a battery pack and front wheel with 250W hub motor. 9speed rear, for an all wheel drive hybrid set up. All packaged nicely into a Schwinn super Tour Frame. Headlight runs on battery pack as well. Whole thing weighs about 35lbs.
A new addition to my frankenbike collection
I made another one with some improvements along the way. I like the old design a bit better as it was a bit lower to the ground. But the seat and frame quality has improved which is nice.
I think the people here appreciate the subtle tweaks i have done to my bike
Time to buy a welder.
Hi. I’m new here and I’ve been putting off buying a welder, but maybe now I will.
