Didnt know what to do with it yet...
...so i set it up as a singlespeed. Actually pretty fun!

Its from an old factory in my city and needs quite a bit of love. But i couldnt let that thing get scrapped. Its my 4th dumpster find and an addiction at this point... Please tell me to stop.
Found a 26" aluminium frame with a rigid steel fork in the scrap metal container at work. Intially i wanted to build it as a winter bike, the first ride was awful, i realized it was too small.
Then i gave a set of 28" wheels a try which i had laying around and they fit barely. After drilling out a threaded insert in the lower tube between the chainstays the 35mm schwalbe marathon fit well enough to give it a try, although the marathons have a pretty thick tread.
I mounted a bunch of other stuff from the parts bin and a corner bar knock off. That was planned for another bike but the frame was too long for that, it fits me better with flatbars.
Today the brake extenders arrived and it was time for a shakedown ride: it fits surprisingly well and rides great.
Drivetrain components are a acera 3x crankset with a 9x cassette, 22-30-40 and 11-32. Deore front derailleur and SLX rear derailleur. Deore M530 Shift-Brake Levers make it almost feel like riding a proper drop bar bike.
Most of that is from the parts bin, i got the levers really cheap locally, besides that i only bought the brake extenders and new pads.
Future plans so far: New tyres, Brake arms, Brake boosters (extenders add quite a bit of flex), proper stem and headset adapter, lights, bar tape, maybe racks and fenders.
If i have fun with it and it survives the summer i think will paint it.
Edit: the extenders on the fork are mounted with spacers i madr from steel tube, because the posts are not removable.
They solve the issue with lever placement and give the bars a real gravel feeling (ignore the missing caps, had them off for cable installation)
