FFTL - Decent guitar but is it worth upgrading?

Got the red FFTL from the recent drop. I am impressed by the build and red sparkle color. The pickguard has some scratches, not a big deal.

But the pickups are not that good. And the strings are too tight. Not sure why. The frets look decently polished but playing this guitar is NOT really fun.

I wonder if these cheap strings are too stretched too tight that you can't really bend them easily or if there's something wrong with the guitar itself?

I might try changing the strings but don't want to void the return warranty.

Anyway, is this guitar worth upgrading? Thinking of putting on Tonerider classics and getting a full setup. Will probably cost me around $250+ but wonder if its worth the investment and time

Anyone in similar situation? Were the strings too tight to play in the beginning but got much better after setup/upgrades?

Any advice for reaching out to customer service?

I bought a K24 in the recent drop and imagine my surprise when the presys III is a presys 1 when the guitar gets delivered. I checked and in my paypal receipt the description says presys 3. Is this something they will make right or would i have to file a paypal claim?

Got this bad boy ordered just now.

This will be my 3rd Tele style from FF. I wanted the transparent yellow one but waited to long. This surf green look super sick though. Can’t wait to get it.

Knobs for Pegasus?

I'm in the UK, and recently bought my first Firefly guitar for £240 from their new UK site. It's a Pegasus (pictured), and as you can see, it arrived without knobs. Found this post from someone with the same issue, so it seems it happens from time to time. I contacted customer support and asked if they could send out replacement knobs - they responded quickly and offered me a £20 refund, which seemed fair.

The problem I'm having now is what replacement knobs to buy. I bought these off Amazon.co.uk, but they don't seem to fit. The hole width is fine, but the shaft length on the pots seems too long, so I can't seem to sit the knobs far enough down. Description says they're 1.8*1.8*1.85cm, which seems fairly standard, so not sure if I'm doing something obviously wrong? I've tried applying some force, but don't want to damage anything. Any thoughts on what knobs should work?

In case anyone's interested in my overall impression, the guitar has a few blemishes in the binding, but mostly looks beautiful. However it had really bad fret buzz (which is mostly now fixed with a truss rod adjustment and raise of the bridge, though still requires a bit of tweaking). The frets are *extremely* gritty, pretty much the worst I've ever felt. I ordered a fret polishing kit, so hopefully can resolve that.

Firefly Old Black FFSP

This is my newly acquired/modded Firefly FFSP "old Black" from the latest drop batch. I put on a real Bigsby B7 I had sitting around along with a Vibramate string spoiler (even though it didn't need it- the stock Bigsbee-clone is nice- the Vibramate just didn't fit it). Vibramate spoilers are a game changer for ease of changing strings and they also really seem to improve tuning stability and return-to-pitch with Bigsbys. I also put in a Snake Oil-brand hot Firebird bridge pickup and an old alnico 4 P90 with a raw tin cover to improve the looks and more closely match the inspiration for this thing. Again, the factory pickups were just fine and will definitely find a home in another project. I spent awhile polishing the frets and filing/rolling the binding and fingerboard edges and this thing plays like butter and feels super broken in. The nut slots took a little extra depth filing and cleanup work (and a little nut sauce) and now the action is effortlessly low and this thing really returns to pitch well after breaking in the strings! The factory imitation Grover locking tuners were good and stable, but I threw on a set of Jin-Ho locking tuners with a different peg shape. Jin-Ho makes the locking tuners that Reverend guitars come with, and they're fairly cheap. I put on Ernie Ball slinky 10s, and put in a Reverend Soft Touch bigsby spring that I have been using with the B7 for years now. It's softer and spongier/smoother than a stock Bigsby spring and the arm sits lower too. I also put in a Guyker roller bridge ($20 Amazon) that swapped right onto the stock ABR1-style bridge posts and has set screws to lock it to the posts. I highly recommend this upgrade above anything else! I set this thing up for D sharp standard and it has virtually no neck relief with zero buzzing and sounds awesome! The knobs are handmade custom Thunderbird totem and old Buffalo Nickel knobs made/sold by Guitar Bling on Etsy/Reverb. This is far and away my favorite Firefly so far. Only thing I'd change is I'd like a fatter neck, but that's nothing to complain about! This thing is NOT light but I could care less. Every time I pick it up I put on some overdrive and rip thru Alabama or Rockin in the Free World. Sweet guitar. I love it!

Arrived this morning. Right out of the box, I loved the look and vintage sunburst color. Not heavy, lighter than I expected. A good decent weight 7.5 im guessing. Nice neck, "C" shape. Not a fan of thick necks like my Epiphone Inspired by Jr. Thats a thick 59. This is perfect for my hands. NO sharp frets! Tuned it up played some sounds clean and dirty. Im impressed with the pickups! chimey clean with a bark and bite..especiallly some dirt. Only negatives would be the cheapo strings and action was way to low. Some fret buzz. Easy fix. I plan to use this for my slide axe. Maybe 11's (quality strings) and raise the action. Overall? I give it 5 stars. Im impressed, thank to some of you who reviewed yours here. Im big fan of Allen Collins, Johnny Winter, Steve Clark,,so this fits well. Chibsons have come a long way, my friends. I was buying them back around 2004, 2005. I did a youtube video of the sounds just now. If interested, check it out. https://youtu.be/yVgB9UWZMH0?si=roWW--onc35Obwbr

100 bucks?

Got my tooth pulled yesterday and drove an hour and a half after to pick this up because I knew the marketplace listing wouldn't last long. The ride back sucked when the numbing stuff wore off but worth it. I just lemon oiled the fretboard and put some light gauge strings on until I can make it to the music store for some flat wounds. Sounds amazing but I already knew it would. I have the Dave Grohl knockoff by Firefly and it rocks. It might as well be the same thing under the hood. I went ahead and threw in my other Firefly guitars for you guys and gals. The blond semihollow is the new one.

What company makes Firefly?

As in, do we know the name of the Chinese factory that is producing these instruments? I'm assuming they are all coming from the same complex, but I'm most curious about the acoustics.
