Who are we?

We are a professional Arma 3 realism unit portraying the 23rd Panzer Division, Panzergrenadier-Regiment.128 and their combat actions throughout the second world war. We also portray other Wehrmacht units such as the 79. Infanterie-Division during our Stalingrad and Kuban campaign. With our current manpower, we operate at a company level with 80+ player missions and 120+ active members. With unit leadership and other members having years of experience in Wehrmacht realism, we aim to deliver the most professional, accurate and realistic portrayal of a Wehrmacht company in the second world war.

What we offer?

We take pride in our historical accuracy, and aim to offer the most authentic realism experience to someone who wishes to join our ranks. As well as realistic combat, we structure and operate our group as Wehrmacht units would have been historically. This encompasses ranks, tactics, tactical commands, radio procedures, uniforms, medals, weaponry, and most importantly camaraderie. With years of friendship between members of the unit and our diverse, international collection of individuals, you will be welcomed into a stable, active and friendly community to bond with. With a team of dedicated unit developers and permission from mod creators, we are the most customised and specialized ArmA 3 WW2 unit created with development in all areas of the gameplay experience. This includes completely custom maps, vehicles, uniforms and even artillery pieces for all theatres and time periods as well as special uniforms for individuals who have earned a combination of awards.

Primary Language: English & German

German is utilized to increase the immersion and historical authenticity of the events.

During trainings and operations, primary communication is done with English. (85-90% of communication) Tactical movements and commands are given in German. (10-15% of communication)

Entry level combat billets is where all speculative members of the unit begin their time with the 23. Panzer-Division:

This unit is a CDLC dependent unit

18+: Accept if met current Criteria. * Legal copy of Arma 3 * Legal copy of the new Spearhead 1944 CDLC. * Working microphone * Proficient in English and willing to learn German commands * Able to attend Saturday trainings and Sunday campaign days (1400 EST / 1900 UTC) or post an LOA when real life reasons bar you from playing. * Not currently in a leadership position in another unit * Not currently in another WW2 Arma 3 Unit

16-17: Accept if met any of the following including the above: * Friends with a current standing member of the unit. * Previous experience in a realism/mil-sim/reenactment unit. * Show above average levels of maturity for their age. * Show an interest in developing their current understanding and learning more about the Wehrmacht and what we do as a whole.

Schedule:

We understand life comes first and if you are unable to attend file an LOA (leave of absence). Attendance to Sunday campaign and Saturday training is mandatory. We do expect at least 75% attendance to Sunday events and 50% on Saturday events in a month factoring in real life LOAs. Both Saturday and Sunday events last 3 hours from the start time:

Who We Are

The 17th Ranger Battalion (17th RBN) is a long-running Arma 3 PvE MilSim unit that provides all members with the proficiency and capabilities to make even the most difficult situations tenable. We focus on skill based, teamwork-driven gameplay using real-world tactics—without bogging things down in unnecessary military formalities.

What We Do
The 17th RBN runs storyline-driven PvE campaigns and structured operations designed to feel cohesive and immersive. Some of our missions include:

Campaigns are primarily infantry-focused, with minimal Zeus involvement. In addition, we host mini-ops and side operations throughout the week as well as multiple trainings..

Operations Schedule

Main Operations: Saturdays @ 7:00 PM Central US Time (CST/CDT) with 35-45 Players Average with an average of 3 hours per operation.

Additional Ops: Often hosted during the week, typically around 7:00 PM Central US Time (CST/CDT) with 10-15 Players Average Playstyle, Expectation, and Trainings

The 17th takes pride in its "Real Life First" mindset, prioritizing realistic expectations of members and avoiding unnecessary restrictions. Additionally, the 17th allows all members to attend any training, regardless of their company. If a member wants to learn all they have to do is ask. No strict attendance requirements.

We represent the 11th Infantry Brigade, a North American Milsim unit. We work with a heavy focus on teamwork and professionalism while maintaining a fun, light-hearted, and mature environment. We do not follow any strict "Yes sir, No sir" protocol, and our ranks are only used during official events. When in-game, members will be required to wear their proper tags, follow the orders given to them, use proper radio communication, and operate as their assigned role. When out of game, members are encouraged to relax and enjoy themselves while participating in community events.

Every operation hosted by our unit will be run by multiple, dedicated Zeuses controlling multiple factions and individuals. Each mission is interactive and story-driven, with deep roots in the history of warfare. Seemingly simple choices that are made early on in a campaign will have lasting effects that directly alter the events that follow. We require that all members attend a minimum of 4 operations each month to maintain active status, or 1 operation per month to maintain reserve status.

Our unit currently rotates campaigns every 3 months to keep things fresh. We always portray the US Army in our main operations and we will often play in settings such as Vietnam, Cold War, War on Terror, and many fictional campaigns taking place in Africa, Russia, Alaska, and more!

1. Older and more mature command staff with experience dating back to Operation Flashpoint and the original ArmA with many former and current military members.
2. Our style of Milsim means we don't have to worry about all the semantics that other Milsim groups focus heavily on such as: requiring prowords, grid references, land navigation, multiple squad formations, saluting, etc. Just stick with your squad, do what you are told, and shoot the bad guys.
3. Our operations offer a large-scale setting in a small-scale environment. In most larger units, you become just a number and you make little to no impact overall. Here, we know everyone's name while consistently pulling 70+ players for every operation.
4. We are a true combined arms community. We currently are able to effectively field properly sized infantry, armor, rotary, fixed wing, and even fire support personnel into the field during every operation. Our battlefield is a genuinely immersive environment.
5. No mandated training. Optional training is held to teach members certain game features and techniques.
6. Members are not stuck in their specific role, we allow our members to change their role at any time if they are no longer enjoying it. No fake paperwork or transfer requests here, simply let us know and we will make the changes.
7. We do not micromanage your gear. Each member picks a basic role, is given the kit template, and then will be able to customize their kit fully from our massive list of approved gear. Players can make their character truly unique and take the gear that THEY want to use.

Our Mission

The mission of the 47th Joint Operations Unit (47JOU) is to create a dynamic and balanced environment for mixed infantry operations. We bring together Mil-sim veterans and fresh recruits, blending seriousness and focus with moments of camaraderie and fun. Our goal is to maintain discipline during missions while fostering an atmosphere where everyone feels included and valued. Operation Variety

We keep variety high by allowing Zeus control over our played faction and available assets within the confines of our modpack to provide a wide range of operations. Additionally, we do not use a set ORBAT or rank structure, in order to allow our members to select their role per mission within their training certs. Our community enjoys the dynamic gameplay that comes from taking on different scenarios using different strategies, meaning gameplay never grows stale.

Task Force Jackal is a multinational unit simulating that of a specialised NATO task force. It is for this reason that we are able to take the best aspects of all NATO countries and compile them into one bad ass milsim community.

Our training is broken down into 2 parts, firstly a required BCT for all members and will cover basic mod set-up, introduction to some custom assets that you have at your disposal and a walk through talk through of how to improve QoL during operations.

Secondly a specialised training called RASP, this covers all of our advanced tactics, trainings and will open you up to the wider playing field of roles and ranks within the unit. Only once completing this training can you progress through the ranks and undertake better roles.

Who We Are

The 17th Ranger Battalion (17th RBN) is a long-running Arma 3 PvE MilSim unit that provides all members with the proficiency and capabilities to make even the most difficult situations tenable. We focus on skill based, teamwork-driven gameplay using real-world tactics—without bogging things down in unnecessary military formalities.

• No “yes sir / no sir.”
• No hours-long ceremonies.
• Just solid operations, competent players, and a relaxed environment where having fun matters as much as winning.

What We Do
The 17th RBN runs storyline-driven PvE campaigns and structured operations designed to feel cohesive and immersive. Some of our missions include:

• Airfield seizures
• Direct-action raids
• Defensive and counteroffensive operations
• Airborne and air assault missions
• Large-scale combined arms engagements

Campaigns are primarily infantry-focused, with minimal Zeus involvement. In addition, we host mini-ops and side operations throughout the week as well as multiple trainings..

Unit Structure
The battalion is divided into two companies, giving players flexibility while keeping operations organized.

Roles are not static. Players are free to request different roles between operations to get exposure to all interests within their unit as avoid doing the same thing every week. Players may also expand their skills and exposure by requesting transfers between companies during transfer windows within each campaign cycle.

Operations Schedule

Main Operations: Saturdays @ 7:00 PM Central US Time (CST/CDT) with 35-45 Players Average with an average of 3 hours per operation.

Additional Ops: Often hosted during the week, typically around 7:00 PM Central US Time (CST/CDT) with 10-15 Players Average Playstyle, Expectation, and Trainings

The 17th takes pride in its "Real Life First" mindset, prioritizing realistic expectations of members and avoiding unnecessary restrictions. Additionally, the 17th allows all members to attend any training, regardless of their company. If a member wants to learn all they have to do is ask. No strict attendance requirements.
