Stealth / De-badged Look

This might not be to everyone’s taste, but this is the look I’m going for.

I recently got my first Fiesta ST (15 plate) and absolutely love it!! It’s mostly standard, with just a couple of upgrades: a Stage 1 remap from OC Motorsport, a silicone intake hose, and a K&N panel filter.

My plan is to make it look like a standard Fiesta that’s had a few ST bits put on it (alloys, different grille, etc.). A couple of reasons for this: first off, hopefully it’s less noticeable to thieves, and secondly, I want it to be a bit of a sleeper that people dismiss until I’m shredding past them!!

I’ve decided to fully de-badge the car. You’ll either love this or hate it!

My front grille is slightly broken and will need replacing at some point anyway, so I wasn’t too bothered. I know when it comes time to sell it, I can just replace it with an original one, ST badge included.

I’m even thinking of putting an EcoBoost or standard Fiesta badge on the back to really throw people off the scent.

The de-badging process was actually very easy and smooth. I heated the badges with a hair dryer and then used dental floss to remove them. For the glue and sticky residue left over, I used Infinity Wax tar and glue remover.

I must say, I do like the clean look, but part of me also feels it’s a bit boring. Before I took the front badge off, I tried it with a black inlay, which looked wicked — however, the chrome outline gave it away too much.

Finally, to add to the vibe, I got some gross blue camo seat covers to hide the Recaro seats. Next up will probably be a Temu sew-on steering wheel cover 🤣👍 A “Princess on Board” rear window sign will tie everything together nicely!!

I know this might seem a bit mental, but for me it’s just a bit of fun. I can always put it back to standard later down the line.

Any other work will mainly be maintenance/servicing, refreshing worn items, and looking after the bodywork.

Car noises - help

Hi all,

I’ve got a Ford fiesta ST-2 2016. Today I have noticed that my car has started to make very ‘grindy’/clunky noises coming from underneath the car. Also every now and then it would make a very squeaky noise despite me not braking the car

I have noticed it happens mostly in low gear and sometimes the sound differs very slightly when turning the wheel.

It has only just started to happen today as I noticed it on the day to work. I’ve not hit any pothole or anything so unsure how this has happened.

I’ve attached a video of the noise.

Thank you

It’s more fun than cosmetic mods, you learn to go faster without needing mods….and you’re actually putting the car to work the way it was intended. What’s not to like about making sure your dollars are getting put to good use and learning a useful skill set?

Girls don't take my fist seriously

Its been about 1.5 years since i got my fist. And girls laugh at my car and its been hard to keep the dates going because of the car i drive. They say oooo its weird that you drive such a small car and make jokes about it. also the bumpy ride doesn't help. I feel i should of got this car when i was already married. Now i cant find a girlfriend. It kinda sucks and its depressing. Just recently a girl said this car feels like a pogo stick. And i got offended a little bit and said " ill give you a pogo stick to ride on" and then SHE got offended.

Do you guys have the same issue?

Rpf1 bronze 16in and whoosh v3 NIB

Sup gang! Hope you’re enjoying your cars this spring. I sadly no longer have my car but I do have some nice parts here that I’m looking for a good home for. Bronze rpf1s 16s with some 7 year or 8 year old firehawks on them. One wheel has a bit of rash but not too bad. Maybe able to get a summer out of the tires and they hold air but I would recommend replacing the rubber before chucking the car into a corner with these. Enkei center caps included. As well as a NIB whoosh v3 that I never got around to installing on my old car. I also have a set of performance pads and rear rotors I would throw in if I can find them. In the Chicagoland area. Hoping to sell as a package

Anyone at 150k?

Got the car in 2022 with 25k miles. Honestly it’s been the best car I’ve had. Sadly I do gig work for a living right now so I do lots of driving.

Recently things I’ve done -

New timing belt and water pump just because it was getting time.

Cracked coolant tank issue that everyone has

Alternator

Blower motor

And basically just the normal stuff like oil, tires and brakes.

I’ve never changed the clutch yet or have had any issues with it. It still drives like the day I got it.

One thing I’ve noticed now for a while is my turbo definitely makes a woosh sound louder than usual.

Never have done spark plugs yet or even the transmission fluid lol.

I do drive the car like an old man. No money shifts or redlines. I don’t think I’ve ever been over 6k rpm.

Am I just lucky? I’d love to have this car go to 300k

MK8 owners, what tyres you putting on in this economy?

I’m usually running Michelin Pilot Sport’s but the fronts are right on the edge now. Checking prices, I don’t fancy paying £200+ per corner. So I’m looking for something that’ll land softer when it hits my wallet but is of course safe and keeps the car nimble. Any recs?

My new (to me) fiesta st

Just bought a 2015 fiesta st with 98k miles. Been wanting one for the longest but couldn’t find a nice one around me. After patiently waiting I as able to find one 4 hours away from me, but it was 100% worth it. Was grinning form ear to ear the whole way back home. Proud to say I own a FiST now!
Any advice is greatly appreciated 🙏🏻

MK8 or MK8.5

So I’ve FINALLY got enough to finally get a fiesta st. I’m torn between the 8 and 8.5 but the grill on the 8.5 is growing on me.

Are there any other differences between the two other than the grill?

Think it's time to finally give in and get something bigger tires for my over powered Fiesta ST. Maybe coilovers right along with them, The factory suspension is showing its age (91k miles) and I need way more grip at this point in XB against the absolute monsters I'm against.

RE71RS - 205/50r15. Could maybe get 245/40r15s up front now and the same in the back if I put on my camber plates, or get the coilovers.

Positive side, I was the fastest FWD at the event and finished 23rd out of 61 Raw time.

Antenna Delete

Hi guys,
got a FiST just like the one in the Picture.
Has the same little black antenna in the front at this one.

My question would be, if its possible to do an antenna delete on the FiST.
Removing the whole antenna leaves a hole on the roof. Are there any kits online that 'seal off the hole'? Wasn't ably to find anything regarding that except one guy who wrapped his whole roof and covered the hole in the process.

Thanks a lot in advance
