I have one 1.5 cm submucosal fibroid and two about 2 cm subserosal fibroids. My periods are unbearable! It pains to an extent that my hand and feet go numb and I'm unable to move. I can neither lie down nor sit nor stand. I can't even pass stool even when there's pressure because my lower abdomen starts paining - it's that bad and may start causing more harm to other parts of my body if this continues.

About 5 months ago - My doctor told me this can just be dealt with meds and put me on Mifepristone 25 mg for 3 months saying that this will reduce fibroids. I didn't get periods for those 3 months (relieved in a way because no period pain). But that didn't bring any significant change. My subserosal ones decreased by about 1 cm each but submucosal increased by 2 mm. And because of the pills my endometrium thickened to 1.9 cm from 1.4 cm.

Now, the doctor put me on progesterone inducing tablets so I start getting my periods. And once I got my periods and reached out to him (as he had suggested), he ghosted me. I followed up six times!

That's not the point though, while I can look for other docs, I'm not sure if taking these pills for reducing and inducing hormones cyclically is going to help my body in general, it will probably cause more harm.

I know these are not very big fibroids, but it's too painful for me. Not being able to function for 4 days every month is not healthy at all (I'm on my 4th day at the time of writing and it's still paining the same). I don't want to go into surgery at this stage and really want to explore some natural ways to deal with this (because it's early perhaps?)

Would be grateful to get some suggestions so I can start damage control right away!

Hi Girls! I just wanted to share something from my own experience. I’ve been drinking this Chinese herbal tea for about a month now, and I’m currently on day 3 of my period. I really noticed a difference this time, my flow feels more normal, there are way less clots and the pain I usually get on the first and second day is almost gone.

I started drinking it every morning since the beginning of April, just as part of my routine and it’s been helping me feel more balanced during my cycle. I also still drink my green tea daily, which I feel has been a big part of my fibroid journey too.

If you deal with cramps or heavy periods, this might be something worth trying. It’s honestly become part of my daily habit now.

I’m sharing more of my journey and simple tips here if you want to follow along:

Hello🌸

Happy Mother's Day to every woman here, especially the ones for whom today is complicated.🌸

I see you. I am you.

I married at 40 believing that because I had taken care of myself, because I had waited, because I had done everything right, pregnancy would come easily.

It didn't.

I was diagnosed with fibroids. Something I had likely carried since my twenties, undiagnosed, while doctor after doctor handed me birth control and sent me home.

Mother's Day hits differently when your womb feels like it's working against you. When you've been dismissed and misdiagnosed. When you're watching everyone around you celebrate while you're still waiting, still fighting, still hoping.

I just want to say to every woman in this community today , your pain is real. Your journey is valid. And your womb is not broken.

My experience is what drove me to build Her Womb Garden, a holistic wellness app for women navigating fibroids, PCOS, infertility and reproductive health. Especially women of color who have been overlooked for too long.

I'm not here to sell anything today. I'm here because I know how lonely this day can feel.

If you want to check out the app it's free on Google Play, search Her Womb Garden. But more than that I just want you to know you are not alone today. 🌿

How are you all holding up today? 🤎
