If it's not difficult for you, could you give me tips on painting or making an army? And yes, I know that Ultramarines are very corny, I just want to play out the first tyrannical war
Hey there! What's your thoughts on One Page Rules and the TinyGF variant for Epic-scale games?
I tried it a few times with my friends but we found it deeply unbalanced across different army books, probably because it's not following the core OPR framework.
I then started creating OPR-compliant army books for myself and my friend's army and we think it has potential for more fun and balanced games.
I'm at a crossroads: I can just keep this for myself and my group, if nobody cares, or I can continue to expand this new approach to other armies, but I'll need a community effort for this (at the very least for playtest purposes)
What do you think?
Picture tax for engagement. Filament printed 8mm scale leman russes with colored stripes identifying their main armament
Formation 1, Retinue with havocs, rhinos, icon, and pact upgrade. The defiler just wanted to be included.
Just working on getting them a cohesive scheme at tabletop distance, I'm a gamer not an artist. Once I'm done there's formation 2 with berserkers, an armor formation of chaos predators, and a formation of chaos bikers. Then on to the daemons
would love some feedback on what is working or not,
I like the 90s nids better then the newer versions they have for the 28mm game.
But dont want to create straight copies of them either.
Finally got around with painting up one out of 4! Of my Blood Angel Contempter dreads. One of my favorite peices I've painted. My Eldar and terrain have all arrived now just waiting for my SM vehicles.
Pic in the front is a very poor photoshop attempt by yours truly. Looks like Armageddon though so its rad!
Got inspired the other day by another post on a great building someone made, and this is the result. Now it just needs painting etc. All in all I'm pretty happy with the result.

Don’t know why I’m spending so much time on these. I haven’t played in ages…
so here we have some single building foundations. Specifically meant for the fully ruined packing card buildings. I’ll need two more to house them all.
That leaves one foundation space empty on the double foundations already shown. I’ll probably do a simple cube-ish building for that, like one of the levels of the centrepiece tower I did.
I’ve also got a base to build, which will house the black building with the dish on top, also shown elsewhere. That base is ready for work and I have a few weapons to mount on it too.
The final thing will be a couple of industrial pieces, just to make it look like a colony that does work of some kind, then I could call it a full set. Might even be able to fit it all into a couple of boxes.
So I bought these little guys off of Ebay thinking they were 10mm Warmaster Screamers, only for them to actually be scaled for 6mm! Problem is, I have no idea if these are actually Citadel or not, as I have never seen reference to them in the various archives. Does anyone here know where they came from? 6mm plastic Tzeentch Flamer for scale.
Hello everyone! Somehow, I have gotten myself locked out of my old account (u/Plasma_Ass), so I've created this new account instead.
Pics are of some of my recent Epic scale Word Bearers as the best form of "proof" I can think of. Not great, I know, but the best I could come up with. You'll just have to take my word for it, but I can assure you all that I am me. Or at least I was the last time I checked!
Got the bikers done last night after work, and the last of the primed rhinos and havocs. Just got to slap the colors down on the predators, then everything unprimed was primed directly after this photo. Hopefully I'll have the Black Legion "finished" before this weekend.
Also a little sneak peek behind the "magic" I guess. Everything pictured is what I used beside the black rattle-can.
Failing my bid for 100 painted guardsmen stands and vehicles for Million Minis, I decided to pivot and break up the monotony of guard by doing up a small warband of Sons of Malice. Here's the first two, took most of yesterday to get them where they are. I'm not TOO happy with the insignia on the legions guy, and his oldschool buddy's gonna get something a bit cleaner and more readable later on.
As always, critique welcome!
