It's that time of the patch again!!

I usually do these after 10 days of a patch but since this time we have content scattered around here and there I figured I'll do it on this second half instead!

This post is made to spark and talk about different opinions about the games' current state.
And I will use some (if we have) valid feedbacks to the devs! (via their feedback channels both EN and CN) So if you agree to some of these feel free to take some and send the feedbacks to the devs as well!

Sharing my fanart of Psyche I did a while back. I really love the character designs in the game, even the boss iterations for some of them.

A new month means a new look at DNA's mobile revenue through sensor tower. As always, Sensor Tower tracks mobile data only. All values listed are in USD. While this month's estimated $180k is an increase over last month's $130k, it's important to remember that last month had both a male character release and the complete lack of a banner. When comparing April to the last banner released in February, we see a drop from $340k to $180k. That's a 47% drop in less than 60 days! This beats out last month's 33% drop from the previous bannerless month, indicating that DNA is losing it's revenue at an accelerating rate. Meaning, even 6 months into it's lifespan, DNA has yet to stabilize. I believe this is likely due to the game now feeling the full repercussions of the malware attack on it's player base.

Feeling unsatisfied with how bleak that information looked, I also checked the steam charts to see if the trends shown there coincided with the narrative being spun by Sensor Tower's revenue estimation. What I found is that we're witnessing the lowest number of concurrent players to date. With the game spending multiple hours below 500 concurrent players daily and hourly peaks reaching as low as the 330's. Furthermore, the game has not hit 1k concurrent players since April 10th, just 3 days after Su Yi release. It's likely that the trends exhibited by both the steam data and Sensor Tower's projection hold true for all platforms as they independently verify the story the other tells.

One more thing of note is that this month's revenue isn't too far off from last month's $130k. To me this indicates that the banner itself has lost a significant amount of revenue generation. Do you believe this is because of the malware hack and the dwindling player base? Or could it be because of Su Yi's special upgradeable skin negatively affecting those who purchased banners previously? Or maybe Su Yi is just unpopular? Please leave your thoughts below.

This event practically confirms that they couldn't care less about customer feedback... We all want to pay directly for the skins, and they won't let us...

At least now we know that those of us who bought the monthly pass should avoid spending resources as much as possible in case this event is repeated in the future with other characters.

Managed to max intron pretty much everyone. (Only 3 left) All without spending any money.

I think it's a real shame that they had the opportunity to truly change the character, like adding auto-skill/summoning, crowd control, sanity restoration, new stats, or a new mechanic, but these introns are just simple damage with a lot of text.
