Hallpi TMR V6 Techno Red PS5 Controller

recently purchased this bad boy off of mercari from a guy who does joystick replacements. this controller is so badass! only quirks i have with these controllers, the dpad rubber pad this controller came with wasn’t the best, made my dpad mushy and not as clicky as my ghost of yotei controllers. switched one of the dpad rubber pads from my yotei controllers to this one, and now it feels perfect!

also side note to anyone who owns a techno controller, does the controller vibrate when you tap the handle side of the controller? i hear that’s soemthing new with these v2 controllers

What are these Scuff stick pcbs?

I am replacing sticks for a scuff controller. I opened the controller and found these pcbs were soldered between the sticks and the motherboard. It doesn't appear that these pcbs are connected to any of the scuff parts. Does someone know what these are? It also appears that the 2 middle pins on the sticks have been cut away.

How did i do?

I recently replaced into Gulikit tension TMRs my first ever joystick replacement. Soldering was a hassle the R3 and L3 click is a bit mushy but click as well.

How's the calibration though? Any suggestions or changes to be made?

Is this a good calibration? TMR k silver js13 pro +

Just recently got k silver js13 pro+ tmr sticks installed, and this is the calibration from the installer. I saw that 7-9% is the preferred rate. Should I recalibrate it or is this fine?

Not charging with original cable

Hi people, I’ve noticed that my dualsense it doesn’t charge with the included cable after one time I charged it with an iPad cable.

Now it’s like either the console or the joystick won’t recognize the cable.

It does charge with regular USB C cables and even wall chargers.

I try everything from resetting the joystick (pressing the dot for 5 seconds) to “forgetting” the joystick. I thought the cable was the problem but it works fine with other devices like charging my iPhone off the wall or the console.

The heart cable is an iPad cable and it works fine hahaha

Does anyone have the same issue? Any ideas?

Ps5 Hyperpop controller question

for those of you who have a hyper pop controller, does the vibration seem to feel a bit stronger than previous controllers ? i feel like i feel the haptics a bit more on these new controllers compared to my ghost of yotei controller. also have any of you had dpad mushy issues? i had to switch my dpad rubber pad because the stock one it came with was a bit mushy. switching it made it feel better. also, when i tap the side of the controller on its handle, it tends to vibrate more than other controllers. just curious if this is standard for the new v2 controllers?

Weird BDM 050M problem

Hey 👋🏻

I have a really weird problem with my 050M Board.

The controller suddenly "rumbled" without any reason (in menus for example). Later, the adaptive triggers started "ratteling". I desoldered the wires to fix it.

3 weeks(!) after starting using it it got really bad drift on R3. I cant tell why because i only used it for like 5-6 hours in FH5 🙈.

Right after it got drift i lost vibration, adaptive triggers, usb and every light (Touchpad, mute button and main led). But it seems to charge via usb and bottom port. Windows does only connect via Bluetooth.

The controller itself "works" with mentioned drift. All buttons work, touchpad klicks but doesnt register touch (tested in Astro Bot).

The controller came with the ps5 pro and was the replacement for my 2020 G1 controller that died after almost 6 years.

The main problem is that the controller is out of warranty because i bought the console in 12/24.

Did anyone experience the same issue and could tell me what to check on the board to possibly fix it?
