I was curious to know what you think of Ize, a character from Dragon Ball AF. What are your thoughts on his design, concept, and character? For those who are familiar with him.

Ize is Frieza’s son who was frozen in ice for decades. After thawing out, he emerges as 10 times stronger than Frieza. This seems confusing, but I believe they mean that Ize’s first form is ten times stronger than Frieza’s first form. Or else why would that be impressive?

Seeking a formidable opponent, Ize journeys to Earth. He battles SSJ4 Vegeta, SSJ4 Gohan, Gotenks, and Uub. Notably, this takes place after the events of GT, which explains why Goku is absent from the story.

In my opinion, I like Ize’s design for all his forms. It distinguishes him from Frieza while still maintaining his unique character. While the markings on his last form may be a bit edgy, they add to his overall appearance. It resembles Cooler, but with a more menacing and dark look. His design is better than Golden Frieza and Black Frieza to me.

Ize’s personality is quite unique. He possesses the battle-lust of a Saiyan while also being part of Frieza’s race. Despite this, he is cordial and polite like Frieza. However, he is also of course sadistic, as evidenced by his killing of a teenage Pan in the story. Which causes Gohan to go SSJ5. This type of stuff is a bit too dark for a series like Dragon Ball. Additionally, he cuts Gotenks’ arm off. If you can’t tell already, the story tries to be very edgy like the rest 9; DB fan fiction.

The story relies on violence and shock value. The story is similar to the Granolah arc in DBS. In the sense that it is a pure action-packed narrative from start to finish.
