TW: C-Section allegedly performed by its owner

Just saw this while scrolling through my feed. I also checked the owner’s Facebook account, and it seems like he runs a puppy mill and may have done the C-section just to “save” the puppies. Kawawa si mama dog. I couldn’t imagine the pain she went through. I hope this reaches a wider audience and authorities can investigate this further.

Update kay Nojiko - Blood parasite, CKD stage 2/3, Liver disease and Pyometra patient

Thank you so much, everyone… for the encouragement, for the prayers, and for sharing your stories. Sobrang laking bagay ng comments nyo.

Nojiko is doing sooo much better now. Even the vet and my fam was surprised sa recovery niya. Yung operation wound niya from her pyometra surgery, walang bakas daw sabi ng vet. Ang ganda daw ng healing, lalo na for an anemic dog. Nung ff up check up namen sinabi saken ng vet na akala nila wala nang chance si Nojiko… but she fought so hard.

Hindi pa totally okay yung lab results niya, but we’re taking it one day at a time. Naka homecooked diet na siya (white rice, chicken, pumpkin, malunggay, carrots, and sayote, mixed with RC Renal wet food). (Nag join na din pala ako sa ni reco na Canine Kidney Disease fb group, Tysm)

I can’t imagine life without my babies. Nojiko saved me during the pandemic… life was never the same.

To everyone going through the same thing… kapit lang. Tayo yung lakas nila. 🤍

Pet Peeve: Walking their pets on a hot afternoon

One of my pet peeve talaga is yung mga owners na win-walk pets nila on a hot afternoon. Hindi man lang inisip paws ng mga pets nila, basta lang mailakad.

I mean, pwede naman i-walk yung pet kapag wala na yung sun diba? Wag naman sana yung sobrang init na.

Ruptured tumor in my senior dog

I have a 16.5 yr old dog who has a ruptured tumor in between his eyes, along forehead I think. It is oozing with pus and was infested with maggots but were removed through dressing. I previously went to his vet and consulted another vet. Both of them told me that chemo and surgery are no longer an option (asked them several times but their answer stayed the same). He's currently prescribed with antibiotics. My family had a conversation over the phone and my siblings agreed to have him put to rest. My mom and I doesn't want to because he's still active and eating. I visited those 2 vets yesterday and both of them said that as long as my dog is still eating and active then he should still be good and have hia tumor treated and dressed daily which we have been doing for years now. I was thinking of getting a 3rd opinion and have tests done since the 2 vets didn't made biopsy. (they just looked at the nature of the ruptured tumor and CBC). I talked to my dog that if he's tired and in pain he can just go and rest anytime. But guess what, tinalikuran lang ako 😭 Although I'm not sure if he understood it kase bingi na sya. Anyone who has almost similar experience with this and advice too?
