My sweetie, though everyone is very surprised at the results!

I posted a bit earlier and the demand for pics and results was cute and appreciated, so here’s my boy Finn. I’ve been so excited to post a reveal for his results, but everyone who knows him is quite baffled by this - we were expecting surely some APBT but not 100%. (Also, how often are pitties 100% anyways?) I’ve had multiple people say I should try retesting with another brand. I love him either way, he’s so smart and loving and brave. Thanks for the encouragement to post!

Fiona’s results are in! 0% fox, 100% chaotic good

Fiona is 3 months old and somehow already both a genius and a chaos gremlin. She learned to twirl for treats in about 10 seconds flat and hasn’t slowed down since.

She’s super affectionate, toy-obsessed, and does zoomies with her own sound effects. The results definitely explain a lot!

Alabama Smooth-Brain Reveal

This is Carl.

Carl has a single braincell. It is only used so she remembers to breathe. There is nothing else going on in the cavern that is her noggin.

Carl loves people. Especially kids. Kids drop snacks and Carl loves snacks.

Carl also loves cats. Her bestie is a cat. They share a bed and everything else.

Carl does not get along with any other species in the animal kingdom. She loves them all…but in a “chase the squeaky toy” kind of way.

Carl came from Alabama. Apparently she has relatives there still.

Carl’s results are 53.8% very predictable. The other 46.2% threw me for a loop.

The mystery of the Alabama Smooth-Brain has finally been solved!

I’d tell you what Carl thinks….But she doesn’t.

My dog results!

We’re surprised but also not really surprised! I think the only thing about the results that surprised me is how small he is for all those large breeds. He’s about 33 pounds. But he also has the intermediate leg shortening so that’s were a bit of the “long bodied short legs” physique came in :) I love my crazy boy!

Need opinions on these DNA results for Arnold, please!

I adopted Arnold from the Lancaster Shelter and he and his litter (who all looked similar) were labeled Pitbull mix. How does he not have more Pitbull? I forgot to activate the test before sending it off and I had to reach out to them to activate it via the order number. Is it possible they tagged the wrong one? I know people think this a lot, but I’m trippin out lol. I used to have a Bulldog and my other dog that I have now has more Pit than Arnold and looks less like one.

Some sort of sea lion-bat-void hybrid I think

Lola's about 6 years old, I got her a little over 3 years ago, she came from northern Mexico and is a little under 30 lbs. The boxer part is always what throws me!

I guess I have a type

Kind of saw it coming but super shocked! I wish I knew more about her life before she was found!

Results for Toast!

Vet estimates she is 9 months old and is currently 13lbs (vet estimates she’ll max out around 18lbs).

I was surprised by the second highest breed and also by the low terrier percentage! Number one result was no shock!

I’ve always felt like my “Corgi” was mixed

The results are very surprising! I bought her at 2 weeks old from a BYB for $300 to save her from Parvo. First picture is the day I brought her home. Her dad was breed standard Corgi but the mom was questionable.. I thought for sure she had a small percentage of something else…

Frasier Fir’s results!!

surprise surprise! He’s 7mo ish, 25lbs. Very intelligent and bright. Wandered up to us camping in a few weeks back and decided to stick around - he seemed to choose his new home :) Very sweet with people but not the biggest fan of other dogs yet.

Let’s play again!

Lilith is estimated to be 2 years old, and was listed as an Aussie mix at a herding breed shelter. She loves people, loves other dogs, loves toys. She’s super fast. She’s a little clueless and goofy, definitely not “smart” in the way our border collie is. She doesn’t have a mean bone in her body, but does occasionally give a herding breed nip while we’re moving through the house. Her bark sounds a bit hound-like at times. She wants to chase every bird she sees. Lots of energy but also the ability to just chill. I’m so curious to see what kind of a mix she is! I feel like Aussie-pit but her face is narrower than it looks in photos, so maybe there’s more hiding in there!

We were told our girl is a Lab Mix when we adopted her but we did not expect this.

50% Anatolian Shepherd is a big shock to us. We knew there was a good chance she wasn’t going to be a full Lab Mix but this is really interesting. She will always be our lab mix puppy at heart though.

What kind of traits would you expect from this little lady and which breed do you think it related to?

Super mutt is made up of Australian shep, jack Russel terrier, coon hound, and German shep.

Knowing her mix, what traits or qualities would you guess so may possess?

u/Naive_Comedian_5243 — 2 hours ago

The shelter said he was a(now ambiguous) terrier mix

He's just a DIY terrier! In the third pic, for size context, I am 4'11" lol.

As you'd probably imagine, he's loud and vocal (sorry to my neighbors), but also the sweetest and goofiest boy, and so smart! Vet had estimated him at 9 months to a year old as of March, so I think there's still a little bit of growing left in him 😅
