Seraph is hella underrated?

Playing with my friend, using Iceman against Seraph and why is Seraph so strong?

Like the Flight & Blinding Light… the amount of time I gotten my entire attack nullified & halved in damage,
is insane, like how did I get 2 of my offensive rolls totally useless because of the dice roll, and after that my glide was basically doing damage of 1 offensive turn due to another one of her status effect that halves my entire offensive damage for that turn.

After that, she even got Flight to help mitigate my damage? Like yes, I understand many of it is purely due to rolls, but come on, this is just insane that she has way to mitigate damage ENTIRELY, not just through her Flight but also her Blinding Light… Like how is Seraph in anyway at the bottom of the meta list, especially when her damage is in no way low as well, with a consistent 7-8 damages across the board and her upgraded defence dealing 3 back?

Even after using my “What Status Effect” at an appropriate timing to get rid of at least 4-5 status effects on her, she just got all of it back, either using card or even her ability like Holy Smite.

And don’t get me started on how her Defensive Rolls always seems to be preventing 3-4 damage or dealing back 3 to me…

Now i’m just thinking, was it really a pilot problem?

First tournament this weekend

Hi everyone, I recently got super into dice throne and I’m planning on joining my first tournament this Sunday. I wanted to ask what I should expect? In terms of length and competitiveness?

Also my plan is to bring Jean grey and raveness, and then one more maybe something like pyromancer. I really like Jean grey but the other two are flexible. If anyone has tips on “team building” or even matchup/plan of action it’d be a great help. Thanks!!

Marvel/X-men Dice Throne Kickstarter looking for a new home.

Hello,

I've gone back and forth with this game. I absolutely love it, but my gaming group just doesn't seem into it. I could use the money so I'm looking for anyone interested in a Marvel/X-men Bundle.

Both battle chests are kickstarters (color trays, balance kit, Metal Mjolnir)

Missions included (One corner has a tear)

Sculpts

Deadpool Expansion (Sealed)

Promos for X-men, Missions

Looking for what I paid for for 500. Shipping included.

Dm if you are interested.

I received this as a gift.. I’ve never played dice throne and not really into Marvel, so I was going to throw it onto FB marketplace since I haven’t had time for a board game in a long time.

I was looking up comparable versions on EBay and I could only find versions with 4 characters—box says it’s limited edition. Finally found one similar to it and the had it listed around ~$400. Surely that’s just because it’s out of print and someone is trying to make a buck, right?

Just really hoping this person didn’t get us a ridiculously expensive gift.

Cursed Passive vs Stun Status Effect

Cursed passive dictates that if opponent dealt no damage in their offensive roll's phase, they are inflicted with powder keg. A barbarian with parley doing a stun on the Cursed Pirate - would the Barbarian be given a keg, or how is the exact timing played out?

How we played it out:

  1. Stun states a player cannot do anything until after the Attack is resolved.

  2. Once attack is resolved - Offensive Roll Phase is over.

  3. Passive Cursed is blocked - Stun is still on the character.

  4. Stun is removed, and a new offensive roll phase immediately starts.

The assumption we did here is that the conclusion of an attack leads to the conclusion of an offensive roll phase. If this is not true, then Stun is removed after the attack concludes, but once the new roll phase starts - the old one dealt 0 damage, and the passive is unblocked and should inflict Powder Keg.

Anyone?

Many things said on this subreddit about Dice Throne Digital, but i have a serious question.

For Alpha, there are 693 (diamond) and 1.753 (Ultimanium) backers, makes 2.446 in total.
For Beta, there are 1.295 (gold) more backers, so 3.741 in total.

My concern is that this is a little bit less, or am i wrong. 3.741 people world wide in a matchmaking game. Different time zones and people playing different modes makes matchmaking going to take long? Is it worth it to even back for beta or Alpha access or is this going to ruin the expierence?

Love to hear your opinions about this...

Best way to use Nevermore in King of the Hill?

I’m pretty new to Dice Throne but have loved playing the Raveness especially giving Nevermore to my opponents to disrupt their gameplan. When my group plays we usually end up playing 3 or 4 person King of the Hill games and I’ve noticed that I’m not sure the best way to use Nevermore with multiple opponents.

My strategy and thinking so far is that I should be using feathers to pass Nevermore down the line to get more NDR on each opponents upkeep. The problem with this is that it burns though my feathers very quickly and leaves me open for bad NDRs.

From your experience what’s the best strategy in these bigger games and getting the most out of Nevermore?

Just Found This game!

This randomly ended up on my YT algo and I am absolutely in love with this game. Ordered the s1 box and was curious if there was an online scene/discord for this while I get my friends in?

Lineup

Not sure whether my first lineup for tournaments is viable, right now I’m thinking of having Raveness, Gambit & Paladin as my 3 picks.

Does anyone see anything wrong with these 3 or any other hero that might be good to be swapped in? Right now I’m liking Paladin for his tanky but hard hitting ability so I do want that, Gambit also seems rather versatile and Raveness was chosen to kind of be a “threat” but she also does looks fun. Besides Raven, I was considering Pyro as well.

I know everyone has been saying to just choose what you like or are comfortable with, and right now these seem right, just any feedback on these or if any character would fit better would be helpful. Thanks!!

The cards are so shiny! I’m going to start blinging out some of my characters for the next season. Anyone else still chasing a worthy card in this last month of events?

Is Vault Witch playable as a Hero?

I recently introduced my friends to the game, and while I have both Vol 1 and Vol 2 (saving up for the marvel chests), they don't have any characters to play with by themselves. Today, they went into a game store and found Alchemist and the Unchained set and bought them, thinking Vault Witch was a Hero to play like the others. Would they be able to use Vault Witch as a hero, or does she not really work for pvp stuff like that and would need to get another hero to actually have a game

I love this game and I own all the Marvel sets. I’ve been very responsibly waiting to buy some new stuff so I don’t spend all my money all at once on this; today I went down to the game store and picked up a four box of X-Men. One of the things I love about this game is how each character is individually packaged in their own little box with a folding board. I feel a little betrayed by the fact that there are no folding boards and just the one large box for this. I know it’s not gonna change my life, but I need to vent.

DT Adventures - Identifying an Upgraded a Loot Card Question

Hi not sure If Im not understanding a rule or missed one but I have a question regarding Identifying Loot Cards in the shop phase of DT Adventures. So throughout the Dungeon Crawl we receive Loot Cards from loot Chests if you role well enough. When going into the shop phase upon completion of the Dungeon Crawl you can identify these cards for 10 gold each regardless of Rarity of the card you obtained. Another rule for the shop is that if you buy an upgraded Loot Cards to one already added to your deck you only pay the difference in price. Such as buying a legendary worth 25 gold (if you already have the 10 gold worth common version of the card) for 15 gold only.

My question is as follows: If I choose to Identify a card from the dungeon crawl for 10 gold and find that it is on a higher rarity of a card already in my deck then do I still spend the 10 gold for the identify or does that amount change?

Example: I go to Identify a Legendary Card from my portal crawl for 10 Gold and find out I already have the Epic version of the card in my deck which I bought for 20 Gold earlier in the Adventure. Since the gold difference between the rarity’s is 5 gold do I only spend 5 gold for the identify effectively saving 5 gold? (Further to that if the lower tier loot card in my deck was one I had identified earlier in the campaign also costing 10 do I have to pay the full price between rarity’s or have it discounted. Or what do I do if I forgot whether I bought it outright or identified it?)

As you can probably see this question has been eating at me since my last session in which we were unsure and did a home rule of not spending gold for identifying an upgraded loot card. Sorry for the rant and I am excited to see your responses!

Hello! New player here, seeking advice regarding older releases

Hello all!

New player here, so a couple of questions regarding the "new" as i understand it business model.

  1. All new releases will be single box heroes?

  2. Will older heroes (season 1 and 2) return repackaged as single boxes?

  3. Will all new heroes have a second, asseccory only box released alongside ?

  4. Any chance to see old heroes accessory boxes? Would love to have the old miniatures :)

  5. Is there a link to official news and updates?

Thank you all and may you roll sixes!!

Content creators

Hello everyone!
I’m writing this down just to ask you for some recommendations for youtubers who play dice throne and upload often(around a couple of videos per week). I would prefer ones who play tabletop simulator. I am currently watching undefendable but i watched tournament clip that he posted and kinda ran out of dice throne content. I found some guys who play irl but kinda didnt like their content. I kinda figured out that there arent many content creators of dice throne which is sad ;-;.
Thanks in advance
