I've tried various casual apps over the years but lately I've noticed a number of issues:

1: Bot infestation

Constantly having to delete fake messages and likes from bots

2: OF / girls after money

Incredibly one girl even mentioned invoicing me before a date lol (I couldn't believe it)

3: Top looking girls absolutely HAMMERED with messages so average dudes don't get a look in

4: Insane competition and virtually all likes and attention goes to Chad.

5: General profile invisibility (especially on Tinder and the most well known apps).

Has anyone found anything that works?

PS Yes I know your age and look matter, I am 34, in good shape, 184cm and White.

Some context for my bros:

I’m a 27-year-old Black guy, 6'3", 6/10 face-wise, but with an athletic build. I recently went to Japan and had the time of my life. What people on here said about Japan was 100% true. Scoring with the ladies was hard lol, but I still had way more success than I ever did back home in Toronto.

I’ve never really done a big trip like this before, so it definitely opened my eyes a bit. I knew about this forum before the trip, but now I’m already planning a second one.

So here I am trying to decide on another solo trip for February:

Thailand: The default SEA spot. Cheap, tons to do during the day, and super safe, kind of similar to Japan in that sense. Out of all the countries listed though, I find the women here the least attractive. Still seems like the best all-around option.

Philippines: Yeah, I know it’s more run-down compared to Thailand, but I find the women way more attractive. Outside of that though, I can’t really think of much else I specifically want to do there.

Brazil: Yeah lol, the Black in me is showing. I find the women here the most attractive by far, and the daytime activities also look amazing. Biggest concern is safety and petty theft. It would suck realizing some dick snatched my phone because I wasn’t paying attention.

Morocco: Also find the women very attractive, second behind Brazil. The daytime activities look great too. Seems like a solid spot overall, but I’ve found the least amount of information about it. Not sure if it’s the best choice for a first time solo traveler.

I'm interested in the concept of approaching girls in public, but concerned it could blow up quite spectacularly in my face.

What should you watch out for before you start approaching girls in public in order to avoid embarassement / cringe / kick in the balls?

I’m starting to see a pattern.

A lot of regular guys (myself included) are getting completely burned out on traditional dating and the big apps.

Constant ghosting, bots, OnlyFans spam, and feeling invisible unless you’re a top-tier Chad.

It’s exhausting. More and more of us are saying “fuck it” and exploring alternatives — whether that’s AI girlfriends that actually give you attention and conversation, or smaller/niche apps that aren’t completely overrun yet.

I’m not saying it’s the ideal solution, but it feels like a rational response when the normal route just isn’t working anymore.

Has anyone else gone down this road? Are AI companions actually filling the gap for some guys, or are they just a cope? What niche apps or platforms have you found that still deliver real results?
