The values of the hallucinogenic essences in each oven of the game, plus the values of each "level".

The values of the hallucinogenic essences in each oven of the game, plus the values of each "level".

I was bored and ended up looking up the values and saw that they only had the base value and not the value for each oven, so I made the image. I hope it's useful to someone.

Finished my first playthrough

Hello there!

Welp, I finished my first playthrough yesterday. Took me 1 week, around 38 hours to finish. I played the game on normal by mistake, including the Indiegogo content (missclicked lol).

I loved the game mechanics. It feels like This War of Mine meets Hotline Miami on pot, but in the woods. Congrats to the team! Funnily enough, I got the game on discount in February 2019 for $2.31 and I hadn't played until now because I was sure it was an FPS (maybe I mistook it for "The Forest"?) and wasn't in the mood.

Ok so basically this is what happened [SPOILER WARNING!]:

>!- Chicken lady: spared. F her brother, didn't look for him.!<

>!- Hostile villagers: massacred them without mercy.!<

>!- Doctor: axed the mofo. Should've treated me better the first time.!<

>!- Wolfman: gave him the Pretty lady's key. He was a nasty psycho, but useful nevertheless. Let him live.!<

>!- Musician: blew his arse up with my shotgun in the corner of "his" hideout before realizing who the thing I found was...!<

>!- Piotrek: found him dead in the junkyard among the wreck of his looney rocket. That made me very sad.!<

>!- Elephants: weird people, I somewhat liked them. Helped them in exchange of the oxigen tank.!<

>!- Shroom granny: ate her up. Shouldn't have blackmailed me and rather let me take the boy back to her mother.!<

>!- Quarry villagers: pitchforked their arses, then dropped the boulder. Took aim with my hunting rifle and shot between the eyes the idiot in the other side of the impassable breach.!<

>!- Cripple: stole his fish... yep, I went full survival asshole. It's terrible that you run past him in The Road and the Protagonist doesn't even try to help him get to the city LOL.!<

>!- Huge snail: axed 'im for being a jerk.!<

>!- Talking tree: burnt it to the ground. PURGE THE UNCLEAN!!<

>!- Final dream sequence: would you believe I got to the mouth almost unscratched, then died by BITE?!<

- Ended the game by Day 53, >!just went to bed...!<

Another giggly note: I never ever fired a single round of my assault rifle because I was saving it for an "important fight"... then I realized there wasn't going to be one LOL.

I already started a new game on Hard difficulty, but I think I can let some time pass before going for another round.

This ttrpg reminds me of Darkwood: Fatherfog

A bit of an off post, but I was reading into this ttrpg, and the premise started making me think of Darkwood. It’s still a work in progress, but the idea is that it’s a fairytale folkhorror game. A medieval world where one day a fog rolled in and never left. Animals and creatures out in the fog began to warp and change, and familiar fairy tale creatures are weird and twisted.

The game itself is survival horror, and seems to be a fantasy version of “Mothership”. I haven’t gotten to run it yet, but some of you might be interested in the game!

UNREAL EXPERIENCE!!!

After 4 IRL Days, 110 In-Game Days, 55 hours of gameplay, exploring each and every bit of all maps, DARKWOOD has finally concluded. What a experience it was, what a game it was. Never felt like i'm not hooked up.

This game is a LITERAL HIDDEN SAPPHIRE. i would give it a an easy 9/10. Ending sequence was really unreal. You have to be paying attention to see what is happening so you don't oversee it. Man, loved this game from all my heart. Can't wait to DARKWOOD 2.

(ALSO F**K THOSE MOTHERF***ING RED CHOMPERS)

CHEERS GUYS, You guys have been an awesome community, pleasure to be a part of you.

No Stamina Challenge

I got this idea from Challenger Andy and I did it (with deaths) some time ago, but I only just now finished it deathless (nightmare difficulty). And I really cannot recommend it enough. I think it's absolutely perfect for a second, more serious and scary playthrough.

What does it mean? You're not allowed to use stamina in any way. That sounds more complicated than it really is: You're not allowed to dodge or sprint, and you're not allowed to use melee weapons. The only other thing you're not allowed to do is throw a knife, which is somewhat unintuitive because that is the only thrown weapon that uses stamina.

What's great about it is that isn't insanely brutal. It would be quite harsh on a first playthrough, but you absolutely don't need to have the entire game memorized to succeed. I walked into what turned out to be a trap where you're attacked by 4 or 5 red chompers in my playthrough. Being precautious enough to always wear armor and carry my assault rifle everywhere I went, and having the presence of mind to switch to it as soon as things started to go south, was enough to barely survive.

But you do have to take threats seriously. You can't just run away from enemies. They're all faster than you. If you do flee, you'll have to constantly dodge attacks or hide behind obstacles. And when you do choose to fight, it's a genuine drain on resources. In the early game, using a molotov cocktail or a pistol magazine really drains your bank account. Not so much in the late game, but at that point, a day full of serious fights will cost you a lot more than that.

I didn't do it, but, honestly, you could ban or restrict skills as well. I would lean towards just restricting, because a lot of them are interesting, and it sucks to turn mushrooms into a completely worthless resource. But Scream and Chameleon are REALLY broken. If you don't panic and remember to use them before it's too late, they will easily get you out of every sticky situation that you can find yourself in.
