Lots of extremely unique features that harken back to playgrounds from the 90s!

- iconic otter slide

- rock walls for most kid-size skill levels

- ~3story tall rope-ladder tower/curly slide

- massive rope castle

- slides and see-saw style bouncers for kids of all ages.

- amphitheatre overlooking the river towards the YMCA

- picnic tables and ample seating with reasonable visibility

This place is great!!!

So glad to see it getting so much use already!

Go Danville!!

On behalf of Danville Fire Department and other city employees, Gary Miller calls on Gov. Spanberger to sign bill allowing collective bargaining by public sector unions

Bill details are here: https://lis.virginia.gov/bill-details/20261/HB1263

If you support Danville's public unions (firefighters, teachers, police, etc.) you can use the link below to send Gov. Spanberger a short message asking her to repeal the ban on collective bargaining by public sector employees.

Spanberger's public inbox is here: https://www.governor.virginia.gov/contact/

So...is mail pick up optional?

I noticed since I moved here that the mail doesn't always get picked up? Even with the red flag on the mail box up. Is it an optional thing for mail carriers? Or do they only stop if they have mail to put in the mail box? It's a really strange to me how often this has happened compared to where I moved from where the mail carrier had a standard route and went that standard route daily, regardless if one person on that route had mail or not.
