Dear Samsung, please add support for more aptX codecs

I know there are some off-brand, cheaper LDAC earbuds, but since they are not popular, I have left them out. Also, SSC used to stand for scalable codec a while back. I know the sound signature of Buds Pro is great, always has been, but it's more about having options instead of being forced to use one. Also, aptX is open source. Only adaptive and lossless require a license. Samsung could at least add aptX HD. After all, that's what Android is for.

Note: any sound below 1400 kbps is not real hi-fi; it's compressed/lossy. Thanks for reading, and hopefully enough people ask Samsung to unlock our devices.

New home, TV freshly mounted, dankpods is a must

Just bought my first house, and post painting and mounting televisions, taking a break with the best nugget dip ever.

I made tiny 30-pin iPod docks because off-center Nanos annoyed me

Designed some simple iPod docks that properly center the iPod Nanos.

I made them because a lot of basic 30-pin docks make certain Nano models sit slightly off-center, and once you see it, it looks cursed.

They print in about 25 minutes, use the common 30-pin cable, and are easy to dock / undock daily.

I made versions for most iPod Nanos, plus iPod Touch.

The link to the files if anyone wants to print them !

Also, slightly related: I recently ditched Spotify. By next month, once I’ve converted all my music, I’m cancelling my subscription completely.

Have you guys also noticed how Spotify’s algorithm makes listening less enjoyable? It keeps repeating the same 30 songs from my 1500-song playlist, and when I turn on smart shuffle it tries to force-feed me random garbage I never asked for.

My friend gave me a Spicy Pillow 3GS

My friend gave me her 3GS and I tried charging it for a few hours but it didn't even get warm. Decided to open it up and the second I got one screw out, the motherboard literally jumped.

The spicy pillow underneath actually bent the board like a banana and bent the EMI shields. I had to unscrew the rest of it in a diagonal pattern like I was working on a car engine just so the board wouldn't snap.

It’s sitting outside in a bucket now with a rock on top until I can get to the dump tomorrow. This thing has been a ticking time bomb for a while now.

Nugget moment at max. The warp on that PCB though.

was going through some junk and i found this its a freak Na-no (6th gen)

its my 6th gen Na-no. got no cable for it so i have no idea if it works or if it has the black spot of death on it.

Tried to remove the battery from my childhood na-no back in 2024 and accidentally destroyed the iPod in the process

Luckily I had backed up all the music and videos that were on it before I disassembled it or they would have been lost

MyMusix? Naw m8 she's a genuine i.M's!

I mean of course Hitachi had to have a go!

And by "a go" I mean rebranding all the crap other, lesser-known names were already struggling to rebrand and sell. As far as I can tell this is the same as the MyMusix in everything but name. Off-center screen and all.

Weirdly enough there's another nugget in Hitachi's lineup, the Hitachi HMP-S1, that looks identical to the CompUSA player from the After Shop episode A Brand New Nug; and the NASCAR branded player I bought years ago.

But Hitachi's version has a proper dot matrix screen with a backlight, not the crap segmented calculator-looking job NASCAR and CompUSA went with. Can't believe I got the low-end nugget.
