I'll just cut to the chase, it's the fanservice, it's an extremely questionable decision given that oh idk they're constantly sexualizing minors,

For danagnronpa 1 you could make an excuse that physically they're around 19 given they already spent 2 years in hope's peak, but still i think it's weird given mentally they're reset back to how they were 2 years ago so aside from the physical aspect any development or aging/maturing they went through throughout these 2 years basically never happened (they also never regained their missing memories either even after the killing game ended) so for all intents and purposes those are still minors

Sdr2 is much worse in that regard, there's no argument for it, they're minors both physically and mentally thanks to the neo world program, and the fanservice is much worse here, i haven't watched thh in a while so maybe i'm wrong but there wasn't that much fanservice in it anyway, on the top of my head i can only recall around only 2 scenes, but in sdr2 it's noticably way more, also, mikan, how tf do you mishandle a character that much especially with her trauma in mind and make her material for your disgusting scenes to please the weebs in the fanbase, i could really go on about how disgusting it is (the way they handled mikan i mean) and how it's incredibly tone deaf and insulting to people who have similar trauma, but i digress

Drv3 could get a pass given the characters ages aren't really known given they aren't even from hope's peak, also the memory of them being from there and being "humanity's last hope" or whatever was also just a fabrication of the flashback light machine, so yeah idk their ages, i still view the fanservice as cheap, but atleast the legality is questionable and not as blatant as sdr2

I know there are alot of other things i can criticize the series for but this is one i don't see much people talk about almost like it's normalized, i do know most of the fanbase are minors anyway but it still doesn't change how weird of a decision it is from the writer's prespective, sexualizing minors is wrong in any context and there's no execuse for it, it's just weird why a writer would have his series about teens killing each other put said teens in these totally unnecessary scenes that literally add nothing to the game or hell in mikan's case it actively makes it worse, just rely on good writing to keep the players engaged for god's sake and drop that cheap method

I seriously didn't figure out the Leon clue until Kyoko told it to me. In my defense I was early on in my mystery game career and I hadn't bothered to remember anyone's names, so when i did read it as Leon I had to slowly cycle through all of the characters until I saw him lol.

So basically, V3's Ch.2 culprit decided to kill Ryoma by luring him in his lab at night, then do a lot of complex steps to get rid of the body which ultimately led them to get found out. However, they easily could had gotten away with the murder by simply leaving the body there as there wouldn't be any evidence left behind whilst barely anyone could have had an alibi for that time, therefore making the blackened impossible to guess.

This made me realize that killing someone and getting away with it is in theory and practice extremely easy. Nearly every blackened pulled out some complex scheme to do a murder which eventually leads to them making a mistake and getting found out.

However, it would be a lot easier to lure someone somewhere at night and kill them before going back to your dorm. No need to dispose of the body or anything like that either, as you would probably leave evidence on the way. Since it's nighttime, you could just say you were in your dorm sleeping and no one would be able to say anything against your claim.

If anything, Leon would absolutely have won if he had gotten rid of the 11037, tried his best not to get covered in blood, and hid the evidence a little bit better. Because in theory, he had a simple murder plan that would had been unsolvable had he known there would be a trial.

Like seriously, I get that the cases being absurdly complex makes them fun to solve, but having a simple murder like that would make much more of a challenge, if even solvable in the first place.

I'll be honest it was either Naejunko or Akane×Mikan but Naejunko just edged out after I read some more Naejunko fics and re-realized how fucking peak it is.

But only 2 very specific versions of this ship. Either Junko pinning for Makoto which he absolutely hates (Luster of Gold) or Makoto selfishly, arrogantly trying to drag Junko from despair because of his belief that all people deserve second (or in Junko's case, 30,000+) chances (Beautiful Death).
