All handmade and sewn by me, using only scrap material I had lying around! I really love how it turned out, let me know if you have any questions about my process!!
This is inspired by something very common in my home country in the Balkans — a traditional doily (“milje”) that used to be placed on TVs and all around the house as decoration. It carries a strong sense of nostalgia for me, and it was the inspiration behind this piece.
I hope you like it
I made this cropped jacket using a bold yellow floral fabric with black accents. I focused on clean structure and contrast to make the pattern stand out while keeping the shape wearable. Would love your thoughts!
All the layers and zippers and buckles and patterns. How would I go about designing something like this? Creating detachable sleeves and designs? Any tips would be appreciated as I am new to DIY and with to explore more of it.

I made all the spikes except middle and bottom left,
Finished the belt today also,
Bag satchel thing is for my art supplies, made with scrap fabric
Hoodie i customized a while ago with dyed scrap and a t-shirt
And the gloves made from old t-shirt
These are basic steel toe boots I painted up with basic acrylic paint and beads. Had to replace the claws from rubber to masking tape molded into claw shapes. Worked perfectly!! No issues now.
The claws are super-super glued on and the laces are old hoodie drawstrings cause I didn't have laces
I hand-painted this YSL Cabas bag using leather acrylics and sealed it with a matte finish. The goal was to make the artwork feel like it belonged on the bag from the start rather than sitting on top of it.
This was a misdelivered pair of cheap jeans I got a few years ago; I've started wearing it lately despite them being ridiculously oversized since I realized they're actually very comfy. My only real frustration with them is this massive print on the side? From the second pic, I can see if I do manage to scratch/peel it off, the denim was processed so the letters will leave behind the darkest blue possible. At least, I think that's dye and not residue.
Most likely I'll have to cover it up instead, but I don't want them to feel too stuffy/heavy from added fabric or too stiff from paint, and I worry how well I can adhere larger things to this kind of fabric. Does anyone have suggestions? Examples of stuff they've seen/done?
I was considering trying to find some sort of ribbon to (badly) sew on but it'd need to be doubled or real wide so I'm kind of doubtful.
Just as a disclaimer cos I don't want to take credit for the designs because I have copied and traced cybersigilism sketches I found on pinterest. Unfortunately I don't know who the artists are to mention, sorryyy
OKAY so basically this is a custom tracksuit I made for my boyfriend but the more i look at it the more i hate it😭 Does it need another colour? add some details? Most cybesigilism is done in only one colour so i'm doubting... Also maybe i could fill in some of the lines add shading? I want it to look legit and now i look at it, it looks like a diy project🥺 PLEASE HONEST ADVICE and if there is anyone who likes this kind of style would you wear it? THANK YOUUU
I’ve used a brass restore gel before to help with vintage brass pieces but never something attached to clothing. I know the stains on the clothes are probably there forever and i don’t mind them but any advice would help. I’m wearing this Electric Forest. Also the elastic is giving out so I may just remove the straps and make new ones (i know how to sew basic things like bikini tops)
Any other ideas?? I was going to remove all the metal and make a whole new top but that’s a lot of work since I’m already making two outfits from scratch for forest.
Hi there! I've never posted here, so I'm not sure if this is the right place, but I need help customizing a pair of boots!
They're really nice heels, my friend gave them to me a few years ago after she thrifted them and they didn't fit. They've been sitting in my attic for years, and I've tried styling them, I thought about selling them, the shape is good but I'm not a fan of the leopard print. My style is very much victorian goth/ Lolita goth, and I've come up with a way to make them into something I'd wear.
Here's the issue. I have absolutely no idea how to do this. The fabric they're made of is slightly textured, so my original idea of acrylic paint thinned out or fabric paint won't work. My next idea is getting some fabrics and ribbons, and sewing it onto the boots, making it look like the mockup I made. Is this feasible? I would really love any advice, thank you so much for reading!
