Tom Fowler - Ultimate Alliance versus Doom - 44" x 17"

Wow, an incredible art piece by Tom Fowler. Tom's a superb artist and this is an insane concept. I remember playing the Xbox 360 game way back when. This should be one of those covers like X-Men #1.

I spot:

  • >!Cyclops!<
  • >!Daredevil!<
  • >!Winter Soldier!<
  • >!Ghost Rider !<
  • >!Ms. Marvel !<
  • >!Capt. Marvel!<
  • >!Symbiote Spider-Man!<
  • >!Emma Frost!<
  • >!Nightcrawler!<
  • >!Colossus!<
  • >!Scarlet Witch!<
  • >!Doctor Strange!<

Who's behind Dr. Doom? Can anyone count how many Doombots are there?

Anyone got any Cyclops reading recommendations?

I’ve been trying to get into more X-Men media through 97’ and Evolution, and while is have liked Wolverine the most since I was little just off cool factor and him being in more media for me to like him more, I’ve been liking Cyclops more and more honestly. So with that, does anyone have any Cyclops reading recommendations for a me?

Scott Summers is never allowed to have a normal vacation. X-men (1991) Issue 35

Scott and Jean are just back from raising Nathan in the future, and now Nick Fury won't let them have a break before sending them out on a mission.

Since today is Phoenix day when was the last time Cyclops even been with his wife????!

I know we like to celebrate this Grand love of Scott and Jean but could someone clue me in on facts as to when was the last time Jean was even with her husband. I know we are going to use the excuse she is in space. Has she even contacted him? I don't see her in the comics with Scott at all??!

Is my understanding of cyclop's characterization wrong? I have been suggesting cyclops as a vanguard in the marvel rivals community yet it seems like everyone think he only "make sense" as a duelist.

https://preview.redd.it/9jbx8mo05gvg1.jpg?width=387&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dccfc1676a1e7ae0bee920daab2f65b89f30630f

So it seems very likley that cyclops in coming to marvel rivals in season 8 and everyone is anticipating that he will be a duelist. The reasoning is always that his only power is his beams and therefore he cannot be anything else which makes me question if people misunderstand cyclops or if my own understanding is wrong.

Imo these are the defining character traits of cyclops and any accurate depiction of him in rivals should uphold these characteristics.

  1. Cyclops is a known pacifist who views his abilities as a disability rather than a gift or weapon. For that reason, cyclops should never been seen as a duelist or assassin in the team as by nature, he looks to incapacitate rather than eliminate targets with his beam. His beams are concussive which always seperates him from characters like ironman for example.
  2. Building off the first point, I think that cyclops should used his power creatively. The idea that cyclops only uses his beam to do "powerful attacks" fundamentally goes against the first point considering his beams are concussive. Ricochetting beams to hit crazy angles, using beams for mobility, adjusting beams size to act like a area of effect shield to push back against attacks are all comic accurate interpretation of his powers. Its not that he cant do powerful attacks, but by nature he prefers to use his beams in other ways.
  3. Cyclops true super power is his leadership and therefore he should be put into roles that makes him a team player rather than a 1v1 expert. I am so appaled by how many people downplay his leadership and reduces him to "guy who shoots lasers" yet also claim to be fans of him and want him in the game. With Cylcops recent surge in popularity, I always felt like it was because shows like xmen 97 focuses on the hard team decision cyclops has to make which made him compelling. So why do we want to reduce him back to that stereotype when he is about to be making his grand return to video game in such a long time?

Please let me know if I am misunderstanding cyclops in this situation.

We should've seen more of these.

The Summers Protocols were one of those big unrealized teases of Krakoa lore. Whiile we dpon't see a lot of them in action, just the text alone is an insight into Scott's thinking, as well as a showcase of Scott's humor. And it was nice to see that more than one member of the QC acvknowledhged them.

Cyclops - Dawn of X

Thinking about getting the X-Men: Age of Krakoa Dawn of X Omnibus vol. 1 & 2 as my next comics, but was wondering how much Scott is involved in these stories, and what are som his standout moments, if there are any in this book?
