Foxconn’s Wisconsin operation halted production after several days of network issues, according to internal notices and public Facebook posts. A cybersecurity incident is unconfirmed; notices cite IT work and “network issues,” and Foxconn has not publicly confirmed any cyberattack.
Guam officials said Saturday that multiple government websites may be affected by a cyber incident tied to a global vulnerability in cPanel, software used to manage website hosting. Emergency response operations were not affected, officials said.
The incident could affect how residents access online government information and services while officials assess whether any websites were disrupted, deleted or encrypted. Guam’s territorial government uses guam.gov sites for agency information, emergency notices and public services.
Kentwood Public Schools said districtwide Wi-Fi was disrupted after a student used malicious software designed to interfere with the school system’s network.
The district said outside experts helped isolate the issue, which affected Wi-Fi connectivity across its schools, and that the problems “appear” to have been resolved. Kentwood Public Schools serves students in Kent County, Michigan, just southeast of Grand Rapids, across 16 schools, according to federal district data.
