This is a nice image of HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, as Colonel-in-Chief of The Corps of Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) in 1981. He was Colonel-in-Chief from 1963 until his death in 2021 and was noted for his active interest in the Corps throughout that time.
In Honor of her Majesty's 100th Birthday I decided to write and update this old post showing how Queen Elizabeth wasn't just a figurehead but an active force of good in the world .
The first thing is people would commonly write to her with goverment issues and she would forward this to the goverment and get things done.

His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, paid an official visit to the United Kingdom from July 19-23, 1960. They arrived by plane at Gatwick Airport and then traveled by royal train to Victoria Railway Station, where Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh, along with a delegation of important British and Thai dignitaries, were waiting to welcome them.
1960 was a major year for Their Majesties, marking their first overseas visit to the United States and 14 European countries and one state between June 14 and November 18, 1960.

Hello everyone, there has been a lot of changes in the SzKM over the pat few months. The goal of this post is to summarise these and to inform you all of the major changes in our organisation.
Firstly, due to legal obligations within the constitution of Hungary, we are not permitted to use the Holy Crown in our name, therefore we will changing our name to the Hungarian Traditionalist Association to further pursue our legal status.

Secondly, the President of our organisation has resigned due to personal reasons. Therefore the vice-president was elected as the new President and a new vice was elected from the members. With this change, Danubian Unity was also postponed until at lest 2027 or later. The new leadership has already been in contact with fellow organisations such as the SGA, attending events in Hungary and Austria, showing the close and stable connection between monarchist organisations in the region. We hope to continue and deepen our collaboration with these organisations and to form a united front for monarchism in the close future.
Furthermore, the MTE has signed off on a cooperation agreement between us and the Hungarian Monarchist Union, in which we have agreed to unify our forces to pursue a better future in Hungary. This is a huge step forward to an united front in Hungary as it shows that monarchists can and will unifiy to fight for the common goal of a restoration.
Lastly, there has been a lot of drama within and outside of Hungary due to the recent election. As the major monarchist group in Hungary, we'd like to summarise the main points to take away from this. The new government has in the past stated that they'd wish to ban monarchist organisations as well as crack down on their members, this includes groups such as the Vitéz order, the last knightly order of the nation, which multiple Hapsburgs are also a member of. Actions such as this and their ability to now amend the constitution to possibly introduce clauses which restrict the ability of monarchists to organise and run in elections may very well spell the end for monarchism in the nation for the duration of this government. As such, we'd like to warn all monarchists and Hungarians who support the monarchy to be wary, as the future is uncertain and monarchism may be wiped out fully in the nation.
However, we hope that these recent developments show our fellow monarchists that monarchism in Hungary will live on, even if it is at risk or there is a threat to its supporters. Together we cannot fail!
