Do you know how much your kitty weighs?

Gannicus needs to lose some weight. The vet pointed that out today at his annual checkup. He's 19.6 lbs. His father was a Maine Coon. They're big cats, last time I checked. Yeah, I want him to live a long, healthy life. So, we're going to have to cut back on the yummy treats. Sorry big guy. 😥

Wish Lucy, Tabitha & Cleo-Catra a happy 1st birthday

3x formally feral and skittish sisters that were brought to my no-kill sanctuary. My wife insisted that we keep them and train them to be working cats. She pointed out that my youngest feline employees (siblings)are 9 years old. The other working cats are 10+ years old.

This set of sisters are celebrating their first birthday.

Their current duties include activities in the kitten isolation room. They are way too young and energetic for the senior room. Tabitha, the colorful tabby sometimes gets sent in as a greeter for new arrivals. The two tuxedos, we're still coaching them on not hissing at new arrivals. Definitely not the first impression we want to make. They're all young and their training is continuing daily.

Anyhow, please wish these young ladies a happy birthday please.

My favorite photo of Bailey

He's 10 years old, but is still very much a kitten at heart. A very mercurial kitten who likes sneak attacks. When he's by himself, he likes to carry around his larger sock monkey and yell like he's dying. He then shoves the sock monkey under the door, so we have a hard time opening it. He surprised me Friday morning by killing a rather large mouse, which he thoughtfully left for me to find. I love him, but he's such a jerk at times.

My baby in his box

Ever since my cat has been with us, he’s had loads of lovely houses and castles, but he always prefers to sleep in cardboard boxes.

I tried to capture the calm pride of a Maine Coon in wool form

Just finished this needle-felted portrait of a Maine Coon, and I wanted to share the story behind it.

This piece was made to preserve more than just appearance. It’s about a gentle, steady companion who stayed close through many important moments in life, offering quiet comfort in everyday days that later became precious memories. I tried to capture not only how he looked, but the feeling of being with him, calm, safe, and understood.

You think is jelous and sad because I'm hugging another one of my cats?

It makes me laugh so much, the look on his face. That's how he looks every time he sees me hugging anyone or any of my other cats. He looks like a teenager who’s angry at the world, LOL.

Say hello to Miss Cookie! 🍪

This is my cat Cookie! I delivered her 7 years ago in a college dorm (long story). I believe that cats are energy healers. She has helped me so much through my struggles with BPD and I don’t even think she knows how helpful she’s been. One of her quirks is that she likes to follow people into the bathroom at night and bite their legs (lovingly lol). She also loves to snuggle and be around people. I’m so grateful for her ❤️

I tried to capture Elite’s elegance… but I think I also captured the way he judges me

This is Elite, a hand carved 3D leather bag charm I made for him. What caught me the most wasn’t just his calm, elegant look, it was that tiny hint of… attitude. Like he knows exactly what you’re doing, and he’s not impressed… just quietly observing.i tried really hard to preserve that expression in the carving that balance between grace and a subtle, almost sarcastic smirk.

Mr. Finn says hi!

That is all, over. I have nothing else to say, but for some reason, this sub forces you to have to say more in the body. That's annoying.

It was just a baby

A memory from 6 years ago, when my baby came into our live

This baby came into our lives a month before the pandemic, and thanks to him, our days in lockdown were much happier. He's still with us, and I hope he will be for many more years.

Mr. Finn loves bedding change day!

Anyone else's kitties love when you're changing the bedding? Mr. Finn always jumps up, and as I'm putting clean bedding on, I play with him. He's just so excited about it!

I need help!

Ok so this all started when I started taking my kitty outside for short periods of time so she could come outside with me while I sit on the porch. Jumping to today,my mom got me a little cat walking set (comes with collar, harness, and leash.) so when I got home, I tried to put the harness on her (too small) so I put the collar on her. (She was alr pissed because of the harness) and then the leash, then I let go of her for a split second, then she fan off under my mom’s bed. since the leash was in reach, I tried to pull it (such a dumb move) to get her back from under the bed. she DID NOT like that (obviously) so I left her alone for a while, then when I came back up and tried to gently pet her, she moved back a lot and seemed scared of my hand. Next I tried baiting her with a toy, nothing. So I tried a treat, she came out from the bed for the treat and licked it off my hand, but still wouldn’t let me pet her and immediately went back under the bed. THIRD time I tried I put my hand near here to show her it was safe, sniffed it and immediately tried to bite my finger. I wanna gain her trust back, pls help I feel like I terrible cat owner
