Ammo from grandfather's safe. He passed nearly a decade ago and grandma is moving. These ended up coming my way. Obviously prefired and put back together ish.
But wasn't sure if the head stamps my indicate any history of them? We're both vets so both collected various things through time. Figured there's a reason he kept these.
These are all Kynoch and Eley tropical cans. They were made to seal hunting ammo up in tropical conditions. I’ve got them ranging from 5 rounds of .240 up to 50 rounds of .600 nitro express.
Found this while metal detecting, but I can’t find any info online. I assume it’s E 7 96, but the E looks rather odd and could easily be be some sort of symbol too.
