Account restricted

My account got restricted because I failed to provide some verification questions regarding kyc

In accordance with U.S. law, we're required to obtain and periodically confirm certain data about our customers and the individuals associated with their accounts. This applies to all our customers, including those who have an account in good standing.

I failed to check the email in time and my account is restricted, gave them a call and gave the information.

Any idea on when and how this restriction gets removed because I am freaking out I have payments

I just saw this offer, is it worth the upgrade?

I have a platinum CC right now, should I make the switch to a quicksilver or do I keep the one I got?

Edit: thanks for your answers y'all! I've made the switch a few secs ago!

Bought the 7mm 20” curb chain from Zales, do you guys think I did good in buying it lol?

It was on sale for $1919 at the time I bought it, I also had an offer from capital one shopping for 45% back from Zales lol. Was this a good deal to miss guys?

Thinking of closing some old credit cards with annual fees, does this look okay with my profile?

I’m planning to clean up my credit profile and get rid of a few cards that have annual fees but don’t really give me much value in rewards anymore.

I read that canceling credit cards doesn’t hurt your average age of accounts (the closed cards will still show on your report with their full payment history for the next 10 years). With that in mind, here’s what my current lineup looks like.

Most of these cards are from when I first started building credit about 8 years ago, back when my score was much lower. My current score is sitting at 790. Each card has a zero balance.

Here’s the list:

Credit One (all three have annual fees)

• Platinum: $1,900 limit

• Platinum: $1,300 limit

• Platinum X5: $1,200 limit

Self

• Self Visa: $2,100 limit

• Self Plus: $1,500 limit

Capital One

• Venture X: $10,000 limit (only about a week old)

• Quicksilver: $1,500 limit (planning to upgrade this one to Savor)

• Quicksilver: $400 limit (just upgraded from Platinum)

Other cards

• Concora Store Card: $1,500 limit (3 months old)

• Best Buy Credit Card: $2,000 limit

• PayPal Mastercard: $1,100 limit

I’m mainly looking to close the three Credit One cards because of the annual fees and low value and the Concora card as well. Any thoughts on this plan? Planning on getting an Amex Platinum or Gold in the next 6 months as well. Should I be worried about anything else (utilization, average age, etc.) before pulling the trigger, planning on waiting 6 months between each cancellation?

CLI on Savor

Very happy about my CLI! In October of 2025, I applied for the Savor as my very first credit card. I was approved with a $1000 limit.

After reading through this thread, I saw several people say that they were able to get credit limit increases by nearly maxing out their cards and paying it off in full right after the statement posts. I have been following this method, and it seems to have paid off. (No pun intended!)

I was nervous bc it wasn’t until a few weeks ago that I came across the concept of “credit cycling.” I panicked, because that’s basically how I was using the card. I’d max it out about twice a month, and make partial payments throughout the month. When my statement posted, I would pay whatever that amount was in full.

After reading those posts I immediately stopped the partial payments throughout the month. I’ve even seen posts where Capital One terminated the cards/accounts of customers from this practice. Really bummed for those that got burned for this. Idk why it works for some and not for others. If I have this wrong though, please correct me!

Anywho, cheers to the new limit and handling the card more carefully 😭 I think I’d like to apply for the Venture X next, but we’ll see!

Do Amazon balance reloads count for “20 purchases” promo bonus?

Has anyone here done the “20 purchases of $10 each → get $250 bonus” promotion and used Amazon balance reloads to qualify?

I’ve already done about 10 transactions by reloading my Amazon balance in $10 increments, but now I’m worried those might not count as eligible purchases.

Do Amazon reloads count as normal purchases for this kind of promo, or are they excluded (like gift cards / cash equivalents)?

Would really appreciate if someone who actually got the bonus can confirm 🙏

Missed a Reward - do the same offers ever come back?

I had an offer for $100 off $300 Expedia. I noticed it late at night, so I figured I would book in the morning. Lo and behold offer was no longer there. I have been trying to search Expedia and leave it open for some time to hopefully “regenerate it” but it’s been about a week and I haven’t seen it pop up. Do these offers come back at some point or should I just count my loss? The flight I’m trying to book is not til August so I have some time relatively.

Capital One Shopping

Hi,

First post here. I recently used capital one shopping under the assumption it would pay me $50 for a gift card if I spent $50 at a specific shop. I made a purchase over $50 and cannot return it and now capital one shopping is saying my rewards are ineligible. Feels kind of scammy to me seeing as I would never made that purchase knowing they would deny it. Is there anything I can do to get my rewards? Or file a complaint?

What's up with thisCapital One Shopping Offer?

I was perusing the Capital One shopping offers and on the homepage it shows $10 back for spending $20 at Temu but when I clicked on it it changed to 11% back for a new customers and 2% back for current customers.

I've noticed that these offers almost change hourly. Earlier I saw an offer for spending $20 at Sam's Club and get $20 cash back but a hour or so later and it changed to a percentage back instead . Is this a normal shopping experience with Capital One or are they just doing a bait and switch and hope customers don't notice

am i gonna get super ripped off doing these offers? looks too good to be true.

Paying Statement Question

Ok so let’s say my statement posts for $500 on a credit card. If I wanted to, could i pay 300 the day it posts, and then the other 200 a few days later (but still before the due date)? I did search for this topic on here already but couldnt find anything. I assume it’d be fine but have never done this ~just in case~ lol.

Thanks👍

No increase!

I just received an email that it was my ten year anniversary of having the Quick Silver card. I’ve paid this card on time the whole ten years. I even paid it off several times but never got an increase. WTH!!! I have other cards and received increases.

Wow Capital One 🤩

I thought I was in the “low credit” buckets since all I had from Capital One were 500-1000 limit cards. I’ve been trying to build my credit score over 2 years. Currently at 640. Yesterday I received a message that I was pre-approved for a Savor. I went ahead and immediately got $7,000 limit, literally 2 hours later I received an email that my Quicksilver would get an instant credit increase from 1,000 to 4,000. All in 1 day. Maybe this is common but for me it was certainly rewarding!

Capital One Shopping extension not working

Anyone else experience this? I receive emails with special deals (6% off, 11% off, etc.), but when I click the link and go to checkout, the extension remains blank.

I tried clearing my cache, deleting browser data, etc. When I try to open it in another browser, the extension shows up but doesn't have the offer.

Anyone know what could help?
