Bathroom attendants (or anyone else for that matter), what is the loudest fart you've ever heard in a Buc-ee's bathroom?
reddit.comFound metal in meat stick
Just found a piece of metal in my smoked beef stick from Buccees…
Just bite more carefully eating these. I love them but now I am scared to eat them.
Found kids Buccees swim trunks at Goodwill today.
Didn't get them, but found them neat. Do they sell these in the summer at the station marts? :)
Air freshener
I am OBSESSED with their leather and twine air freshener, the smell iscalmost intoxicating. Last week I traveled past a Buc-cees and stopped in for a bite and those particular air fresheners (smelled one years ago in a car and took me 6 years of searching to find the aroma). I foolishly threw away the packaging and forgot to note who makes these ( Denton, TX location ) Tried ordering another "Leather and twine from Amazon but it's not even close. Anyone know the company that makes these? And can I buy some online or am I forced to travel 30 miles everytime I need to freshen up? I mean I will, but I'd rather skip the expensive stop because I'll be damned If I'm going by there for a single item. S/O birthday cake fudge, if you haven't tried it you're missing out. Thank you in advance. Safe travels!
"A moose is not a beaver" - Buc-ee's slammed by countersuit
It's hard to disagree with and at the core of a new countersuit from a moose-themed Ohio gas station. They argue Buc-ee's is pushing animal-themed gas stations around.
Please tell me I can find this somewhere else!
My girlfriend LOVES this popcorn and we don’t have a Buc-ee’s close to us. Please tell me I can get this online somewhere so I can surprise her for her birthday coming up next week!
New opening in Arizona-Question
Im sure you all have heard about the new buccees opening in goodyear arizona. Ive already applied about 2 months ago to that location and haven't heard back. Im more so interested in the mass hiring event they are having in glendale. Ive already applied to the hiring event listing on the website and two others for cashier and grocery. The hiring event says you need an invite to attend the event on May 5-7. But i haven't received anything. Im becoming anxious as we are approaching that date now. Am i going to be rejected for an interview upon arrival to this event for not having this "invite" or is my application the invite? I was planning on going but i don't want it to be a waste of time since it's a bit of a drive to where i live. (30 mins to an hour) I'm also incredibly nervous because upon doing more research buccees is apparently a nightmare to work for. But i am putting that aside for now because i need a job. And this one pays well and is close to where i live.
What's the hype?
So I went exactly once like a decade ago and the main thing I remember is the huge bathroom stalls lol. Besides that, I remember you could order hot food. Also everything there was big and spacious ... but I don't know if that is Buccees or if it's more so because it was in Texas?
So what's the hype about the place over other gas stations? We have speedway and Kwik Trip which offer similar things on a basic level at least... So what am I missing? We won't get a local location until next year sometime....
I mocked them, but it was I who deserved the mocking.
My Bucc-ee's story:
I am a New Orleans resident, and have been for about 12 years. I am a native Clevelander, and any road trip I've taken in my life I've never stopped at a Bucc-ee's, or had any specific feelings about it. About a year ago, there was some local New Orleans news about a Bucc-ee's opening nearby in Pass Christian, Mississippi, and a group of devout fans waiting in line for the opening. I remember thinking "wow, what a bunch of losers being excited about and waiting for a gas station opening", and went upon my life. I've slowly noticed over the past years people wearing Bucc-ee's shirts, hats, etc., and again I thought "imagine being a walking billboard for a gas station, people are insane."
About a month ago, I met my family for a trip to Orange Beach, Alabama, which is about a three hour drive. On the way home, I needed gas, and I was thinking about how I could something to eat, an energy drink, and some nicotine pouches (I am a terminally single 43 year-old man who still eats gas station food, drinks energy drinks, and is horrifically addicted to nicotine). I saw the Bucc-ee's sign, figured I'm still an hour from home, and decided whatever, I've heard they have decent gas station food.
Upon pulling in, I was absolutely shocked by the amount of gas pumps, even more than the Flying-J's of my home region. I get my spot, and first thing I notice, 94 octane for under $4. This is amazing! I fill up, and decide to walk in, ready to be underwhelmed and annoyed by the amount of people there. I notice a now hiring sign by the door. Wages start at $18/hr, with extra hourly for working weekends. I am shocked, this is legitimately good money for Mississippi.
Upon walking in, I realized how large this store is; easily the size of a grocery store. I started browsing. I feel this funny feeling where I start to realize how much good stuff they have, and how cheap it is. I grab a portable dog water bowl. I grab some car air fresherners for $2 cheaper than the same brand I bought at Auto Zone last week. I get to the energy drinks; and it is Mecca. So many great brands, all of the flavors, and things I've never seen before (Jolt Cola energy drinks!?!?). Everything is cheaper than anywhere else I've been.
The snacks, so many intriguing flavors. I grab some. I grab some more. I realize I need a hoodie because it's cold. $23, for a hoodie, in 2026! I go to the sandwiches. There is a man cutting brisket on a butcher's board! I grab one. I grab the accouterments. I see someone making fudge. I love Fudge! At this point both my arms are packed with stuff, and I head to checkout barely holding on. This is going to be a struggle, I bet the line is going to take forever. Less than a minute there, I'm unloading my haul onto the counter. $70 for an absolute haul of items including a hoodie.
I eat the sandwich in the car. Is it award-winning BBQ? No. Is it possibly the best $9 sandwich I've had since decent sandwiches could be acquired for $9? Absolutely! The Jolt Cola is hitting.
Over the next week, I try the snacks, and they are all absolute bangers. Jerry? Half the price and equal quality to my normal stuff. The Salted Maple Peanut Butter Popcorn? I immediately regret not getting more. At this point, I get it. I love Bucc-ee's.
The past two Sundays, I've made an afternoon of driving to the beach to read and enjoy the weather before it enters the 7th layer of outside for the summer, and stopping at Bucc-ee's on the way home. Today, I brought a cooler so I could bring some pudding back. I now own a Bucc-ees's insulated travel mug (which holds my emotionsl support bed-side ice water at temp overnight). I needed hand soap, and now I have Bucc-ee's hand soap.
I would be lying to the reader and myself if I said stopping at Bucc-ee's wasn't what was I was more excited about my Sunday beach trips. It's just a really great store with affordable products at a great price, that pays the staff well beyond a living wage (at least in Mississippi).
All of the people I mocked last June, I apologize. I it was In the author, who was the misguided hater and loser of a closed mind to American consumerism excellence. Japan has Lawson's/Family Mart. The UK has Tesco One Stop. Poland has Zabka. Thank the gods of convenient stores, The United States has Bucc-ee's.
Buc-ee’s Beaver Nugget Icecream
Soaked around 3/4 of a bag of the nuggets in skim milk and then mushed it all through a sieve. Tasted exactly like the nuggets! Tbh I don’t like the taste of the nuggets so for me this was a 5.5/10, but if you like them then you’d really like this! Texture was perfect with no other additives needed, just the nuggs and the milk. If for some reason you end up with an extra 3/4 of a bag of Buc-ee’s nuggs this is a great way to get rid of them
somehow just now heard of the location opening in Arizona so I made this in like a minute
Unpopular opinion, but I think Buc-ee's should totally consider expanding to China, opening up hundreds of locations around the country considering that they have a huge expressway network of their own...
Anyone else’s cat obsessed with the buccees throw blanket?
It’s hilarious watching her knead her paws I call it her sensory blanket, she loves the material lol
Gas prices
Was disappointed in gas prices. Paid $3.98 in Daytona yesterday and Costco was $3.79.
Massive and controversial housing developments plan to encircle a Buc-ee's gas station in Florida.
At least two housing developments would build more than 5,000 homes in close proximity to an upcoming Buc-ee's gas station. Would you want to live next to a Buc-ee's?
Breakfast hours
I will be road tripping in the summer their will be two Buc-ee’s in my flight path. We are driving in the very early morning. Will Buc-ee’s have their breakfast items out to serve.
Anyone found hot sauces at the Ohio location?
Went by last week and couldn't find them anywhere, but it was also SLAMMED. Looking specifically for the dill pickle jalapeno specifically
