Proposed e bike laws changes

Committee recommendations

Under 16s banned on all e devices.

Licence requirement exemption for those medically unable to drive but able to ride.

The committee recommended the 10km/h limit not apply to shared paths unless otherwise signed, and that the department consider a limit of 15km/h within 10 metres of a pedestrian on shared paths.

And non compliant e bikes bought before new laws be exempt.

Giving Away Race Credit I Cant Use!

Hello, I hope this doesn't break any of the rules of this community, but I recently had to drop out of a race and have received credit for 165 AUD that I am not able to use and would prefer to give it to someone who will. However, the credit applies to a pretty small select group of race both cycling and other IN AND AROUND BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA. The list of races is:

Adelaide Epic

Kingscliff Triathlon - March & November

Noosa Enduro

Tour de Brisbane

Straddie Salute

If you or someone you know is planning on completing one of these events in the next year please comment and I will message you with the voucher! I would really love for SOMEONE to be able to race instead of this going to waste!

Where is all the ebike stock?

Shortly I'll be in the market to buy an ebike. But during my research, I've noticed that there is a real lack of stock of ebikes. Particularly in the local bricks and mortar shops, with the specs I want/need and in my price range.

So, do the bike shops get stock all at once or in dribs and drabs? Do I hold off, or do I get my finance ready, keep an eye out and then pounce when a suitable bike comes up?
