Not even 6 months old and already 56 pounds!

How much did your bernadoodle weigh at 6 months? I'm curious how big she will get if she's almost 60 pounds already!

Whiskey is now 14 weeks and a silly, adorable pup that smiles in his sleep. I just can’t get enough of his adorableness.

Hank got his big boy haircut!

My boy got a big boy haircut 🥺
I hated it at first, but we love it now. He loves it too! I didn’t want to get him cut down so far yet, buuut he despised getting brushed to an extent that he would start shaking. And we tried so so so many brushes. This was the best alternative in our vet and our opinions. Buuut I didn’t even recognize him when I went to pick him up. He’s not the 19 lb puppy I picked up 2 months ago 🥺🥺

Should we get a bernedoodle?

Hi! I'm curious to get some real life advice from bernedoodle owners if the breed might be right for our family.

I've been researching breeds for our second family dog. We previously had a very tame, older beagle/lab mix rescue that was my husband's. We do have some different criteria for our next dog though and bernedoodle keeps coming up as a possible fit. We have explored some smaller breeds already. Here is our list:

  1. Very minimal shedding
  2. Kid friendly (have a 5 and 7 year old)
  3. Lower maintenance. We do both work outside the home, although I'm just a couple days a week. Ultimately as an adult, we'd like to be able to get to 8-9 hours home alone if needed for work and events. Our previous dog did great with this. Obviously as a puppy we'll have to make accommodations and can do a dog walker/sitter or puppy daycare/school as needed. A total Velcro dog might be an issue.
  4. Medium energy - good to cuddle but can handle being active and playing with the kids
  5. Not a huge barker or crazy high energy and jumping
  6. Smart and easy to train
  7. Not prone to major medical problems
  8. We wouldn't really want to go more than 40lbs, so would have to be a mini or even a tiny

Obviously a lot of this will depend on the specific dog, mix, and our training, but just looking for some initial thoughts. Thanks!

Big doodle

Does anybody else have a 90 lb. F1b? I cannot believe how big this boy has gotten. Just wondering how common this is?

Doubled up on doods

Getting a second bernedoodle as a sibling for my girl was the best decision I’ve made. If you’re thinking about a second… it has been worth it imo. Not even a week in and they are fast friends ❤️

Meet Bernie

Our 10 week old news addition to our family of 6. He's an F1B medium Ohio dude. This little escape artist got out of his harness so we gave him his first window experience.

He's very food motivated, very quiet, loves laying in the grass and kids. He isn't a great napper but can sleep for 6 hours at night. He goes from land shark to cuddle kisser very fast.

We picked the curliest pup due to allergies.

She's been great in the crate (at night and during enforced nap times in the day) , has got 'sit', 'down', 'stay' and recall within the house nailed already, was a dream to housetrain and has had no 'accidents' for over a week now. She's absolutely buzzing to get outside next week after she had her 2nd jabs on Tuesday. She's learnt to approach the cat calmly (well as calmly as a bouncy puppy can be) and I hold out hope that they're gonna be cuddle buddies one day.

I've been blown away by how clever she is!

She's quite vocal and currently pretty bitey (worse when tired), but I know it's going to be that way for some time.

She's been the best decision ever! ❤️😍
