the most satisfying reply ever

the most satisfying reply ever

And side note: I feel like this was the shortest editing of a tip meeting in below deck history. THANK GOD and hopefully this is a sign of things to come because that was the only part of every episode that I skipped through

Betul Appreciation Post

I felt compelled to make an appreciation post for Betul. She might not be the most dramatic of the crew but I think she is soooooo cute! Never gets involved in the drama has her head focused on the job and is sweet to everyone.

Ellie, Ellie, Ellie.

You didn't "shut him down". I know you are stalking this sub so I hope you read this comment. Rejection is ok. It's a part of life. Everyone gets rejected at some point in their life. It's what you do, it's what you say, it's how you act that has everyone criticizing you. If you really like someone go for it but if they don't feel the same... see it for just that. All you need to say is "I took a shot, it didn'twork out". But when you tell people that you shut him down when it all played out on camera and everyone knows it was the other way around.... It makes you look delusional and insecure.

And on another note. When Ben asks you if Barbie is your friend and you say "Yes! She will have my back. She is my ride or die." It's like you want there to be fighting and chaos. Ellie just stop it. You are the problem. And you are the one who went in and ASKED Daisy if she had a problem with you! She didn't attack you or speak to you inappropriately. You lie.

Employee of the Season - Betul

I said this in another post but I swear to God, I will be pissed if she isn't promoted at the end of this season. She's so hardworking, level headed and such a breath of fresh air amid the shit show happening around her.

I hope Bravo is lurking through the posts and can see how much the fans adore her. Just goes to show that we are not in it for the drama. There needs to be a better balance between the two. I want to see someone with passion who succeeds. Not a bunch of wannabe influencers who half ass their job and stir the pot (*cough* MIKE *cough*). Where is the teamwork?

Barbie - first impressions and predictions - potential spoilers

So, I haven’t seen her previous season and I only came here after watching the episode, so I had no prior knowledge of her, but damn she really seems unhinged. She seems like the type who is constantly getting into shouting arguments with the people she’s dating. The fact that Eddy wants to go for her to get back at Jenna, and she wants to go for him puuuurely to mess with Jenna, who she doesn’t know at all, is so sadistic and a catastrophe waiting to happen. I can tell Barbie is going to chew Eddy up and spit him out. I mean, the girl has already ridiculed his moustache to Ellie. She doesn’t give a f**k about him, and as soon as she’s done hurting Jenna’s feelings, she’ll drop him, and probably humiliate him. If Eddy thinks he’s hurt now by Jenna, who treated him like a snowflake, he’s gonna be shattered if he purses Barbie. But if he does, it will be really hard for me to have any sympathy for him, he’s so emotionally immature and self centred, he doesn’t realise he’ll fall victim to his own scheme.

I think I’m officially done with the season

Ithis season has been a super rough watch for me. It just doesn’t feel like the below deck. We were used to despite having a lot of original people. And now they added Barbie. I was already tired of Ellie and just her constant need to control all storylines, but now her having her own yes man . I can’t do it.

The Baltic pot washer is insufferable

From her deranged third stew antics on that last season with Aesha and Bri the Season 7 briefly again where she somehow yet again finds away to force guests watch her in the play boy bunny suit she just carries around everywhere.. and Now on BDDU as the pot washer /galley hand that thinks they are actually the su chef… she also sounds like SpongeBob which makes it so much more annoying.

Jenna…

Unpopular opinion, but although Jenna seems to be a fan favorite, I can’t stand her. She’s incredibly self-centered. To revolve around her, the second Barbie came in. She wanted to get closer to Eddy. Almost to like mark her territory, even though she already ended things with him. Then texting him saying she misses him.

If genders were swapped, nobody would be tolerating that

Betul, we see you and we appreciate you!

She reminds me of the beginning days of Below Deck. I wish she got more screen time because she’s actually working

Eddy is a hypocrite, Ellie is nuts, and Ben is being a baby.

What ridiculous and childish brats we have on this season. Eddy forgot about his text to Alicia while he was trying to convince Jenna he only had eyes for her and just digs his heels into the mess. Move on and don’t use Barbie as a childish way to do that while making weird abandoned and middle-aged puppy dog eyes at her from across the dinner table. Ellie just slips further and further into delusion and drags anyone who isn’t living in her weird imaginary land. I wish they would stop bringing her back. Jesus, Ben has been such a weirdo this season. You can’t blame Ellie’s pot stirring for you beliving something you didn’t see with your own eyes and refused to confirm for yourself. Hes really leaning into the victim role this season.

Thank goodness for Betul and her meow songs

Ellie reached a new level of annoying

Just watching the newest episode and something I did not expect to happen, happened. I disliked Ellie even more 😂
Bringing her friend to the boat… whoops.
First, she told Barbie, she’s a sous chef 😂😂
And later the history of “I’ve put Joao in his place few days ago and now he is on a mission to annoy me” 😂 where is this girl living…
Barbie also too annoying. I’m not sure I’m going to enjoy the rest of this season. Ellie is totally out of control and now there is two of them. Poef 😭

Ellie is starting to make this season unwatchable for me

I know, I know, we all watch these shows for the drama, and she is absolutely creating drama (that’s all she’s doing honestly), and, I will say part of the reason I love bravo are the free displays and examples of the DSM-5. But my god she is so WRONG all the time it’s exhausting to watch. Her perception of reality is just absolutely batshit insane. Calling everyone gossipy, gaslighting daisy, obsessing over Joao, starting rumors, thinking she’s a su chef—I can’t. I want her to take her soapy ass eggs and cheap extensions off the boat and straight to an expensive psychiatrist with a prescription pad.

I love Kate Chastain but after last night’s episode, Daisy has become my favorite chief stew. The way she’s tackling problems head on, the way she’s carefully navigating Jaoa, the way she’s calling out Ben directly. Daisy has been killing it this season and is showing her maturity as a chief stew.

Do we think Jenna gets demoted for the Ben/Eddy drama?

Based on the preview for next week, and the rumor going around that someone gets demoted in one of the upcoming episodes, do we think it’s Jenna because of the love triangle with her, Eddy, and Ben?

I’m not defending her at all, and all three of them honestly suck, but it would be SUPER hypocritical if she gets demoted because of it.

Joe and Gary are two recent Below Deck male cast members who do the same thing every season, and I’m sure there’s past cast mates who have done the same, and they never faced professional backlash as a result (ie demoted). Feels a tad sexist if that’s where this is headed….

Once more, not defending Jenna in the slightest, just calling out the hypocrisy if that’s where this is headed

I can’t take Ben trying to hang with the 20 somethings when he’s 45.

BEN is FORTY-FIVE years old. It’s too much. Playing these silly “love” games with 20 somethings is a little pathetic. Jenna is TWENTY-TWO. Fine, they are consenting adults. But Ben, really? You used to be my favorite character, but you really have to grow up if you really want the love you seem to constantly be saying you’re looking for. It’s like he can’t handle a real, adult woman.

ADD: AND he totally lost my respect when he teamed up with Ellie. He’s just afraid of her. Bleh.

This was such an adorable response to her accomplishment.

Betul is my absolute favorite. What. A. Vibe.

That’s all. Just some Betul appreciation 🥰 good for her!
