StarTrack employee stole prescribed medication from package

Here to share an appalling and deeply disturbing experience I’ve just had with StarTrack.

A parcel containing my prescribed medication was very clearly tampered with while in StarTrack’s care. When the package arrived, one of the prescribed items was missing from inside the box. I believe a StarTrack employee sliced open the sticky tape that was securing the package, removed the medication, then poorly resealed the box with multiple layers of sticky tape to make it appear untouched.

I have since obtained CCTV footage from the pharmacy confirming that both prescribed items were packed into the parcel before dispatch, and that the box was originally sealed with a single strip of sticky tape around the edges. When I received it, the box had clearly been interfered with - multiple layers of tape had been added, the tape was bubbled, folded, and carelessly reapplied, and it was obvious the parcel had been opened and tampered with after leaving the pharmacy.

What is even more concerning is StarTrack’s complete refusal to take any accountability. Rather than investigate this properly, they immediately attempted to shift blame to my local Australia Post, despite the fact the parcel was simply sitting at my there awaiting collection after already passing through StarTrack’s handling network. It is a disgraceful attempt to avoid responsibility.

A police report has been filed.

I suspect a StarTrack employee stole prescribed medication from my package

Here to share an appalling and deeply disturbing experience I’ve just had with StarTrack - let me know if something similar has happened to you!

A parcel containing my prescribed medication (medical marijuana) seems to have been tampered with while in StarTrack’s care. When the package arrived, one of the prescribed items was missing from inside the box. I personally believe a StarTrack employee sliced open the sticky tape that was securing the package, removed the medication, then poorly resealed the box with multiple layers of sticky tape to make it appear untouched.

What is even more concerning is StarTrack’s complete refusal to take any accountability for the situation. Rather than investigate this properly, they immediately attempted to shift blame to my local post office, despite the fact the parcel was simply sitting there awaiting collection after already passing through StarTrack’s handling network. It is a disgraceful attempt to avoid responsibility.

A police report has been filed.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Note: reposted as my original post was deleted by mods for being an accusation against AusPost “without evidence”. No longer an accusation - just my telling of the situation from my own perspective.

Email for tracking an unknown parcel sent by YW Co.,Ltd

I've just received an email from Aus Post saying I'm receiving a package from YW Co.,Ltd, but I have no idea what this package could be. It says the label is being made and that the shipping information has been received by the Auspost depot in Chullora (which I know to be a real depot).

Does anyone know what this could be? I never purchase from Temu, Shein, AlieExpress, or any of those other websites. A quick google suggested it was a telecommunications company but I've not purchased anything like that at all recently, so I'm uncertain.

Why is the cost so high?

I need to send a parcel about 10kg in weight from Sydney to Victoria park in WA.

The online calculator said it would cost me an eye watering 150 dollars to send the package. What am I missing here?

“Lost in transit”. - INFURIATING

My parcel has been stuck in the Melbourne network for about 13 days (14th–27th April) with no updates since “processed at sorting facility.” No scans or movement at all since then.

I contacted Australia Post and today (27th April) they’ve officially deemed it lost in transit, but they also said it could still show up, just with delayed or missing scans. So it’s in that weird situation where it’s marked lost, but not necessarily gone yet.

What’s confusing is it’s already in Melbourne, so you’d expect it to either go out for delivery or get a final scan, but it’s just been sitting there with nothing happening.

A couple people told me they’re seeing similar issues right now. One said:

“Bet it’s the Sunshine facility…. It’s a semi regular occurrence. We’ve had parcels declared lost, replaced for the customer and then the original delivered.”

And another mentioned:

“Same issues with Melbourne at the moment to Tassie, limited scans than normal, some no scans then magically out for delivery. Something might be broken or there could be staffing issues.”

Just wondering if anyone else has had parcels marked as “lost in transit” like this but still ended up arriving, or if that usually means it’s actually gone

is it possible to have only one packages processed but not the other even they are mailed by the same person and same time?

Is it possible to have one package processed but not the other?

I have 2 packages coming to me, one is less than 1 kg and one is around 1.9-2kg, which the less than 1 kg has been processed but not the heavier one.

Both are mailed by the same person at the same time, and the lighter one got processed yesterday and I’m still waiting the heavier one to be processed.

Australia Post LPO Interview – What to expect?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently applying to operate an Australia Post Licensed Post Office (LPO) and will likely have an interview soon.

I wanted to ask if anyone here has gone through the interview process or currently runs an LPO.

What kind of questions do they usually ask?

Do they focus more on financials (cash flow, sales, costs) or on operations like customer service and managing staff?

Also, how detailed do they go into the numbers during the interview?

Any advice or tips would be really appreciated.

Thanks!

AusPost parcel stuck in Melbourne for 11 days – anyone experienced this?

Hey, just wondering if anyone’s had something similar happen.

My parcel has been stuck in the Melbourne network for about 11 days now. Last scan was “processed at sorting facility” and since then there’s been no updates at all.

I called Australia Post and they said it’s still moving internally, just hasn’t been delivered yet. They told me to wait until Friday and call back if nothing changes. (Whereas I didn’t call since I thought it would come on Friday)

It’s already in my city (Melbourne), so I don’t understand how it hasn’t gone out for delivery yet.

Has anyone had a parcel sit this long at the final stage and then suddenly arrive? Or is this something I should be worried about

Can I send an overseas letter with a parcel label, to get cheaper tracking?

(Using the shipping estimate page)

This is ridiculous but if I'm shipping an 80g letter to the UK and want tracking on it, the cheapest letter option with Tracking that I can find is Express, $40.

But in the parcel category, the Standard option comes with tracking and is only $27.

So could I take a letter to the post office and pay for a parcel label on it to get cheaper tracking? Or would they stop me from being able to purchase that since it's just a letter?

Better yet, is there any conceivable way you can just ask for tracking on a plain old Economy Air letter? I don't care about how long it takes, I just want tracking for buyer & seller protection.

Delivered but not delivered

How long does Australian post take to respond to enquiries about them not actually delivering the item but having it state it's been delivered?

We have full camera set up an all sections of the house no way for them to place it somewhere without it being recorded. So we know for a fact it wasn't delivered. Neighbours arnt the type to take them either.

Can I print the to and from labels for letters in colour?

Hi all, I'm having issues getting my printer to print in black ink. So I'm wondering if I can just print in red or some other preferred colour for the to and from labels?

What should I do?

My package was initially shipped via FedEx, but because my delivery address was an Auspost parcel locker, FedEx “delivers” it to Auspost to do the final leg (standard, done this many times).

HOWEVER, my package is stuck (lost??). Both FedEx and Auspost are pointing the finger at each other. Wtaf.

Anyone have any experience with this sort of issue??

No updates on whereabouts for 10 days?

One of my first experiences with Auspost, is this lack of tracking updates normal? I don't think so, right?

From my understanding, as it is a Sydney-Sydney package, it should arrive in ~2 days.

Quite worried as the items inside the parcel are somewhat sentimental...

Make it make sense?

In regional Vic.

Totally forgot I was waiting for this to be delivered so I just checked for the latest update. Longest scroll of my life.

Will it go back to NSW, somewhere else or finally delivered to me?
