zero print issues. I set the supports all the way down to 20 degrees and it still came out great.

It's here

It's here

I've been using a sole Ender 3 Pro for the past 5+ years and have been content with it. Earlier this month it started having bed heating issues. I couldn't fix it and jumped on the sale early last week. I got lucky with the fast shipping.

Now I gotta do a full day's work before setting it up 😭

Kobra X newbie questions

My Kobra X came yesterday, and I have questions:

- I tried to change filaments, and the filament felt like it was jammed in the printhead when I tried to push the filament into the printhead to the point where it would beep. Out of desperation or brilliance I loosened the PTFE tube and worked the filament in there, at which point it beeped and everybody was happy. Question: is there some kind of trick to getting the filament past this sticking point? Cut filament at an angle? Sacrifice to Jobu?

- I saw something similar happen earlier today. A spool got tangled, because I was dumb. Note: filament tangle detection is off by default. I got one layer printed out of the 40 or so that was expected. So I pulled out the filament, untangled it, and went to put it back. Even though I had the spool unloaded and in my hand, the console said it was still loaded, with the same filament. I loaded the filament, and pushed it down into the printhead. I got no beeps, but the console wasn't complaining. So I turned it loose and it's printing fine. Question: am I looking at a detector failure, a setting that I need to turn on, or something else. The manual seems sparse, and I didn't really see anything about this on the internet.

Eli5 - How to do multicolor prints

So, I’m not new to one color 3d printing (Ankermake M5C) but I’m an on the struggle bus trying to figure out how to do multi-color printing. Where can I go for an ‘explain it like I’m 5’ level explanation using the Kobra X and the Anycubic Slicer Next.

For example - I used to do a filament change for printing labels - I knew how to put that into the gcode and then swap out the filament. How do I do that now?

Or - one more example - if I download a multicolor model for printing from the Anycubic model site (Makersomething) and I don’t have the exact filament colors on hand - how do I know which color goes on which spool (if I’m substituting) - or better yet how do I know what colors go where in the slicer?

thanks for helping me out - I want to say I’m not stupid - but…

New firmware?

New firmware?

Has anyone gotten this new firmware yet? I just checked my printer, and it says I have the most current version (1.1.5.7). But the Anycubic support wiki is showing v1.2.0.0 as the current firmware version...

Cleanable or fubar?

Looks like filament got backed up and melted on my hot end. took the sock off too as you can see in first print...I've ordered a new head, but wasn't sure if this one is salvagable. If so suggestions aside from just scraping carefully for a few years?

Can't print with 0.25mm nozzle?

Help!

I got my 0.25mm nozzles yesterday, and the Next slicer won't let me print with it installed. When I try printing, I get a nozzle error and the print just fails!

Any ideas on how to correct this? The Next software is showing my printer with 0.4mm nozzle installed.

Also, on the prepare tab, when I choose 0.25mm nozzle, it ONLY gives me the option for Anycubic PLA filament... no other filaments are available as an option!

Filament Profiles?

Does anyone know how/where do download additional filament profile configs? Orca Slicer has way more and I don't want to create each one individually
