So lately, our always-spamming Askforangela woman brought her propaganda back to the subreddit, and while I was having a pretty respectful debate with her.
When a Man in his white horse came, censored, deleted the post, and blocked further comments.
Reddit is a forum for people to exchange ideas and debate, and should be free fo anyone to express anything, and overall, if someone is trying to impose a certain agenda.
You have given to a moderator the power to decide whether it can be debated or not, based on friendships that have nothing to do wth what truly lies behind…
A sad little man, with a sad life I guess...

So this got me banned from the Goth subreddit....

Apparently the Goth subreddit is run by woke Karens these days.

Oh - I'm banned from the The Cure subreddit too 😆

Seems like wherever I go (especially on Reddit) it's just leftists everywhere.

I don't know why it took me so long to search for this subreddit. I guess I just assumed it didn't exist.

Anyway, this is the post that got me banned from the Goth subreddit (please bear with me):

"Okay, so I've been thinking about this for a while....

(Just for context I should add that I've loved The Cure since I was 7 and I'm now 40, so nothing I'm about to say comes lightly. I don't like saying it either. Also, it can't be said in the The Cure sub Reddit because.....you just can't talk to the Cure fans over there about this sort of thing, they don't take it well).

So here it is....

Does anyone else wonder sometimes if Robert has...well....lost his edge?

It's been during the last 6 years that I've really been noticing it fall off a cliff.

This happens a lot to musicians in their 60s. They can be legendary, iconic......they last for decades, no sign of fading away or slowing down. They set the rules, no one owns them/tells them what to do. They don't follow fashions or trends. They a are truly something different. Absolute rebels.

Then something odd happens when they start getting well into their 60s.

They go woke & soft - start collaborating with or endorsing........really pro-establishment, pro-regime types of people. Absolute cringe. I mean MORE than just a bit mainstream. I mean the posing-for-photos-with-Biden types. I mean the chummy-with-Fauci-and-pushing-the-vaccine types.

I mean people like Olivia Rodrigo.

Doesn't anyone else think it's seriously weird? I can't imagine a younger Robert having anything to do with someone from f*cking High School Musical.

I mean just think about it, it's ridiculous.

He says she " calls him up quite a bit and they talk about clothes and fashion". Like they're girlfriends or something. I wonder what Mary thinks.

Honestly, I thought something was off when that singer from Churches was suddenly all over Robert's twitter/X timeline.

That time she managed to make his birthday all about promoting herself.

Then he did that weird BBC interview and just let the two presenters interrupt and talk over him the whole time - about themselves.

Something definitely isn't right.

Some of you might get annoyed with me for posting this, but I'm sorry - I can't just pretend everything's fine anymore."

If you read all that, thank you for your patience!

The crazy thing is, it wasn't what I said about Robert that got me in trouble.....

it was what I said about the COVID vaccine.

Their defensiveness of the vaccine, Fauci and even Rodrigo completely eclipsed any interest they had in defending Robert Smith.

That's on a GOTH subreddit.

This is what I mean when I say it's everywhere you f**king go - leftism or wokeism (they're the same thing really), just wearing a different costume.

Honestly, I've really disliked wokeness for years now. I was just watching a video about the psychology of people who don't understand wokeness. I think we understand it, but we refuse to be complicit.

I, for one, am sick of the ontological gerrymandering. I don't believe in gender ideology. It stems from post structuralism, which I find paradoxical. Try writing a coherent sentence about the impossibility of coherent meaning.

I'm sick of feminism. I believed the lie of feminism for the longest time. I thought women were victims of the system. However, they don't have to sign up for selective services. If there's a divorce with children involved, the woman typically gets custody. Men often serve longer sentences for the same crime. 70% of the homeless population is men.

I'm sick of people going on about systemic racism when they can't prove it. If it can't be proven, then it's an ideology.

Most of all, I'm sick of Progressives acting like they're better than everyone else.

The Egalitarian Pluralistic worldview in intrinsically flawed. The people who hold this worldview believe there should be equality. That there should be no hierarchy. Alas, they also believe that their worldview is superior to all other worldviews. That is not equality. That is hierarchy.

They believe in pluralism. That there should be inclusivity. However, if you disagree with them, they treat you like a pariah. The whole thing is one big performative contradiction.

The sad thing is, if a Christian or Conservative thinks you've done something wrong, they don't think you're a terrible person. They just think you're a bad Christian or a bad Conservative. A Woke person believes that anyone who disagrees with them is a bad person.

They are, what Lawrence Kohlberg would call, "Pre-Conventional". They are pre-conventional people trying to start post-conventional movements.

You can point out the rioting, looting, burning down buildings, the assassination of Charlie Kirk, and the people who celebrated his death; and they will come back with January 6th. That is a Tu Quoque Fallacy.

If they know about fallacies, they'll try using the Fallacy Fallacy as a defense, because they don't realize that using the Fallacy Fallacy as a defense against Tu Quoque is just as wrong as using Ad Nauseum to avoid an argument when they are actually the ones trying to push something into the Overton Window.

I'm so used to the Bulverism, Genetic Fallacy, Ad Hominem, Straw Man Arguments, and Red Herrings by now that I've gotten great at spotting them. Then they just shut down. They know they can't win an argument. So they shut down.

It's like the patients have taken over the looney bin and I'm just trying to find out if anyone out there is still grounded in reality. We need to band together. We need to take back control. We need a world where things make sense.
