Honestly, I've really disliked wokeness for years now. I was just watching a video about the psychology of people who don't understand wokeness. I think we understand it, but we refuse to be complicit.
I, for one, am sick of the ontological gerrymandering. I don't believe in gender ideology. It stems from post structuralism, which I find paradoxical. Try writing a coherent sentence about the impossibility of coherent meaning.
I'm sick of feminism. I believed the lie of feminism for the longest time. I thought women were victims of the system. However, they don't have to sign up for selective services. If there's a divorce with children involved, the woman typically gets custody. Men often serve longer sentences for the same crime. 70% of the homeless population is men.
I'm sick of people going on about systemic racism when they can't prove it. If it can't be proven, then it's an ideology.
Most of all, I'm sick of Progressives acting like they're better than everyone else.
The Egalitarian Pluralistic worldview in intrinsically flawed. The people who hold this worldview believe there should be equality. That there should be no hierarchy. Alas, they also believe that their worldview is superior to all other worldviews. That is not equality. That is hierarchy.
They believe in pluralism. That there should be inclusivity. However, if you disagree with them, they treat you like a pariah. The whole thing is one big performative contradiction.
The sad thing is, if a Christian or Conservative thinks you've done something wrong, they don't think you're a terrible person. They just think you're a bad Christian or a bad Conservative. A Woke person believes that anyone who disagrees with them is a bad person.
They are, what Lawrence Kohlberg would call, "Pre-Conventional". They are pre-conventional people trying to start post-conventional movements.
You can point out the rioting, looting, burning down buildings, the assassination of Charlie Kirk, and the people who celebrated his death; and they will come back with January 6th. That is a Tu Quoque Fallacy.
If they know about fallacies, they'll try using the Fallacy Fallacy as a defense, because they don't realize that using the Fallacy Fallacy as a defense against Tu Quoque is just as wrong as using Ad Nauseum to avoid an argument when they are actually the ones trying to push something into the Overton Window.
I'm so used to the Bulverism, Genetic Fallacy, Ad Hominem, Straw Man Arguments, and Red Herrings by now that I've gotten great at spotting them. Then they just shut down. They know they can't win an argument. So they shut down.
It's like the patients have taken over the looney bin and I'm just trying to find out if anyone out there is still grounded in reality. We need to band together. We need to take back control. We need a world where things make sense.
