Started watching like 3 months ago... Here's my tierlist, watchlist and a spoiler free review of everything I've watched (except for the places I've marked as spoilers)!

THE SINGLE BEST SHOW I'VE EVER WATCHED AND WILL KEEP GLAZING TILL I DIE AND EVEN AFTER THAT

  1. Takopi's Original Sin - Literally changed my entire life. I cried buckets after Episode 2 and 5, but by the end I knew Takopi wouldn't want us to cry. This is the single best piece of fiction ever made, anime, book, manga, show, movie, or whatever - Takopi's Original Sin is better than **anything**.

S Tier (Best of the Best!)

  1. Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood - Insanely Peak, Top tier storytelling, Greed best boy, really good ending as well. It's probably a 9.5/10 for me and the only reason it's not a perfect 10 is because it's not Takopi's Original Sin and I personally would've liked to see Homunculus' connection with HHH expanded a little more and the Homunculi a little more fleshed out like in '03. Rain has to be one of, if not THE best ending songs I've ever listened to (I cried literally everytime it played). The first 13 episodes are really rushed but it's made up for in the later half, plus I watched FMA '03 before this so I knew the best experience. Overall series is like insanely good though

  2. Bungou Stray Dogs - Might be biased since it's my first Anime but holy shit this was peak. Ryuunosuke Akutagawa is my favorite character OAT and it was just hype in general. Loved the moral conflicts and PM's role in later seasons, but my favorite was the end of S2 lol. BSD is also what got me into Classical Literature so yeah, just really peak overall. The Light Novels are even better than the anime and they're also partially the reason the anime is so high, because the anime gives you enough incentive to read them and they're peak fiction. Also there's no such thing as a Non S Tier Opening or Ending in BSD!!

  3. Mob Psycho 100 - One of the best things I've ever watched, but unfortunately I've watched better lol. It's a really, REALLY good show and would ordinarily be #1 but I've just watched 3 shows that are absolute cinema. Still, Mob Psycho is 1 of my favorites and definitely holds its own in S Tier. Hanazawa Teruki's my favorite character but literally everyone here is the goat lol. Perfect watch for anyone looking for a emotional, character driven show.

A Tier (Just a little away from S)

  1. Fullmetal Alchemist '03 - Man... the first like 47 episodes were absolute cinema but the ending was BAD. I get what they were trying to do but man it did not land for me atleast. Dante felt like more of a plot device and the whole gate thing just felt like an inescapable cycle of misery (which was the point but still). God this would be S tier if not for the ending. Soundtrack is peak though, and I'd still recommend it to everyone who wants to watch FMA:B, as you can only appreciate FMA:B to the fullest after watching '03.

  2. Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai - ITS NOT WHAT IT SOUNDS LIKE THE BUNNY GIRL SUIT APPEARS FOR 2 EPISODES ONLY AND IT'S THERE FOR LIKE 2 MINUTES MAX. I'm trolled so much by my friends for liking this because the name but it's worth it because this is really really good. The fact you can actually learn Quantum Physics from this is insane. Overall a really good romcom that highlights trusted relationships and how to actually deal with problems. Only thing holding it back from S tier is it's a little repetitive. The conclusion to each arc is so satisfying but it's a little slow for me personally, you might disagree.

  3. Moriarty The Patriot - THIS IS SOOOOOO GOOOOOODDDDDDD. I'm a sucker for historical fiction and the fact they played such a good twist on the Sherlock Holmes novel is crazy. Really good if you like philosophical historical anime and I just loved the whole Sherliam dynamic and it was just really good till the end. Only reason it's not an S is because I WISH S2 wasn't so rushed and the side chars were a little more fleshed out. We should've spent a little more time with Irene Adler, James Bond and understood Moriarty's crew a little more. Still a really good watch though!

B Tier (Not my vibe but you might like it!)

  1. One Punch Man - I'll be honest it felt kinda... forgettable? I get the story ONE was trying to keep and I liked it, but the plot is a little convoluted and the animation was wayy too boring to justify the plot points. Manga's probably A tier but the anime is like low B tier for me. I love Mumen Rider but it feels like the other heroes (esp the S tier ones) are just kinda... bums? (other than Watchdog Man ofc ily bbg) Maybe I just missed the point but this was like a really mid show for me at best.

  2. Mushoku Tensei (Jobless Reincarnation) - This was really complicated and I had no idea where to put it. Season 1 for me was really good and it actually felt Rudeus was developing but it was SO frustrating by the end of S2P1 that I had to drop it. Rudeus is a really unlikable MC and while I get that that's the point it was a little too bad for me. I don't like the people who call people who like Mushoku Tensei 'pedos' or call MT 'pedo tensei' because it's kinda a critique on real life if you think about it? People who like MT like it not because of the creepiness but despite it, because if the MC was just not this big of a bad person the show would honestly be A tier. Also I've been spoiled that S2P2 and S3 has Rudeus getting a >!harem!<and that just completely undoes the point of S2 imo. It's also why I dropped at the end of S2 when he >!gets together with Sylphie!<because imo it shouldve been him just moving on from all that and focusing on *himself* instead of Romance. And the aforementioned spoiler that apparently happens in S2P2 and S3 imo just completely fucks up the entire arc so it's not a satisfying watch for me. It's kinda like Denji in CSM and how everything is just pointless. You might like it if you can see past the flaws, but I personally cannot so yeah. I was debating whether to put this in C or B because of the whole pointless character arc but ended up putting it on B because S1 was really good and I get what the author is trying to say.

Personal ranking of anime and movies

I am not sure whether these are all, and maybe I have left out some really good stuff there, but here it is.

Here's my anime tier list. I'm sure I've left out some good stuff, and I didn't bother adding all the shit I've watched.

Any thoughts about my grid

It was tough to decide each category especially that i tried not to put any anime twice, otherwise would've been in 3 other spots at least 😅.

Also abt jjk i actually enjoys it but the type of talks and hype around it is kinda too much, that's my humble opinion that's why i put it in overrated, it's a great anime tho

My Top 50 Favorite Anime/Manga 'Arcs/Sagas'.

So, I decided to post my favorite anime/manga/light novels 'arcs/sagas'. Some of these sagas are 'fan-only' sagas that cover a overarching plotlines but aren't considered actual 'sagas'.

For example, the 'Akatsuki' saga covers from the Akatsuki Suppression Mission Arc to the end of the Pain Arc.

Oh, this isn't ever series that I've watched since this was a collab tierlist created by a friend of mine. So, we only include series that we both have watched overall.

Some images have also been censored due to spoilers, but those that have read/watched the series should be able to figure them out by their Arc/Saga titles! :D

Please let me know your thoughts on the overall rankings, but please be polite in the comments, this is my personal tierlist and if you don't personally like it that's okay.

My TierList

As I said on another sub, I’ve cooked! This is easily the best tier list you’ll ever see. Let me know your thoughts!

Personally I’d love for someone to heavily vouch for a show they’ve seen and think I should retry it!

I’ll post the tier list followed by it listed in order in note format in case it’s too pixelated! :)

- I may have missed 1 or 2 from the tier list so they have been added to the notes at the end of their ranking

Edit: I’m thinking of bumping wistoria up based on the recent episodes

I just updated my personal tier list of anime waifus, since I’ve caught up on a few. I’ve included 6 screenshots of the entire list so you can see it more clearly.

I have been working on PowerScale. An anime and manga tracker that tries to go beyond a checklist and stay closer to the soul of each series: the stuff you’re into, how it lands with you, and how that fits into everything else on your shelf.
Of course like any tracking app it has:
There’s a Library / Home hub for everything you’re actively watching or reading, what you’ve finished, what you’re holding, what you plan to pick up, and your favorites. So your whole journey lives in one place. Explore keeps you in the loop with what’s airing and helps you find your next watch or read without bouncing around half a dozen sites.
Here's what I believe sets this app apart from the vast majority of tracking apps I have seen:
There's Hall of Fame highlights what the community is loving right now and all time, so you can see what’s resonating beyond your own bubble.
The Discussions tab is for community driven topics and good faith debates, the kind of back and forth that’s hard to replicate in DMs alone.
Polls feed into a living log of rankings for series, characters, and manga this way popular tastes and debates show up as actual ordered results, not just hot takes.
There’s also direct messaging. You can chat with people, share posts, and pass along recs when you want someone to watch what you’re obsessed with.
Under Rankings, you get personal, head to head and tournament style matchups for anime, manga, characters, and even theme songs, it takes what’s already in your library and turns it into clear top lists (your real “top 10” energy, not ten tied scores).
Finally, Profile gives you an at a glance snapshot of your anime habits and stats, plus friends so you can see what people are watching now and what they can’t stop recommending.
Nothing is ever complete, but the goal is a singular app that tracks, discovers, argues, ranks, and connects people, without feeling like five different products stitched together.
So yeah, does anything here sound genuinely different from how you use trackers? And what do you wish more anime/manga trackers actually had?
Here's a link to the app, for right now it is iOS and a work in progress website only but down the road I will work to get an android version out there.
