Chronic fissure since November – diet good but still bleeding, is surgery my only option?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been dealing with an anal fissure since November and it’s been really frustrating.

I had bleeding episodes:

3 times in January

1 time in February

and now twice on back-to-back days in April

In the first 1–2 months, I was using sucralfate-based ano creams, and later I switched to nitroglycerin (Nitro) ointment and a 2% gel.

The confusing part is that my diet has been pretty solid throughout:

high in soluble fiber

drinking around 3–4 liters of water daily

But despite this, my stools still don’t stay consistently soft, and I keep getting flare-ups.

At this point I’m not sure what I’m missing.

Is this something others have experienced even with a good diet?

What else can I try before considering surgery?

Is surgery the only option at this stage, or are there other treatments that worked for you?

Would really appreciate hearing from people who’ve dealt with something similar.

Tea Tree Oil- worked for me- my story -

Hey everyone - I have been dealing with our situation for quite a few months now without knowing “ what was going on” recently diagnosed - did not want to do surgery and I have been trying everything.

Metecucil , vegetarian diet … HydraLyte packs … all the vitamins …. It’s been about a year dealing with constipation out of no where . One minute I was a once a day or every few days girlie to ….. long and longer and harder and harder and thinner and then huge and hurting and I feel like is this middle age? Then came the stinging / bright red toilet paper …. And cracks ( no pun intended)… I thought maybe I had knicked myself shaving … it felt like little tiny razor cuts …. So that was weird

The came the itching and feeling swollen and just not normal ….

And then a smell 🤮 so anyway needless to say got that sorted

However as a last ditch effort praying to the universe of healing I know Tea Tree oil is antibacterial and anti virus properties so I on a whim got a really expensive brand from a shop …. Like 30$ organic blah blah.

Got home and after a shower I use Dr Bronners liquid soap baby unscented and use that for washing first

Then when I get out of the shower I shook a solid 3 times directly on some fingers of the tea tree ( while still wet) and rubbed it started lower and then up and around .

Again - maybe this won’t be for everybody and I can’t recommend or tell people what to do because everyone’s skin is maybe more sensitive than mine this is just worked for me. Maybe some people might have to mix it with a carrier oil … but I just was willing to try it this way.

Washed my hands

And then put jammies on and went to bed.

The stinging , minty, burny , intense hot feeling …. Honestly felt better than the swollen razor blade cut itching and I actually got relief from it

..

I fell asleep and when I woke up in the morning , went to wash room noticed when I wiped / I had less “ crisp” feelings

Then so I decided to put 2-3 shakes on my fingers again and put undies and pants on and went to work. I was worried I would reak but jeans held the smell in.

Same thing kind of burn stinging feeling but then “ feels cold” and almost relief ..,,

I did this now for 8-9 days and I can report to I am now only putting it on before bed once a day now and guess what ?

Zero razor feeling cuts and zero swollen and absolutely no blood.

I don’t know if this can help everyone or everyone has different stages or their own diagnosis but for me raw dogging tea tree oil has helped me so much I joined this group to let everyone know because I was so desperate…

Also if you try this please maybe start 1-2 drops - I was just feral and desperate.

Anyway I plan on now only doing it once a week to keep it at bay and who knows ? Maybe won’t come back !

I am so happy I feel free !

Second Botox injection vitamin e oil for burning anus

I am still in excruciating pain and today is my four week mark of my second injection of Botox. This time I can feel that my pelvic area has loosened a bit but my actual anal area is on fire and burning and the pain is terrible. I have tried everything. I’m wondering if anyone has had any success with vitamin E oil or just plain old olive oil. I’m at the point where even Vaseline makes me burn. I’ve tried all the prescription creams with the same burning problem.

Upcoming Botox, contemplating no sedation.

I’m having a flex sig and Botox in a week. CRS says it’s usually done under midazolam and fentanyl but he said he could do it with just fentanyl.

I have sedation anxiety so I don’t want to do the midazolam. However I’m worried the procedure will still be painful even with the fentanyl.

Anyone ever done one without sedation?

40 hours post LIS and new skin tag

Had lis plus skin tag removal just a day before and I now have a new skin tag just next to where skin tag was removed. Wondering if it’s skin tag or just swelling which will go away. I am so worried and would see my doctor only after 5 days
