If aklief isn’t doing the job would differin?

For context I’ve already tried adapelene/differin cream but it didn’t do anything for me, I was using aklief for my body acne at the time. My derm then said to try and use aklief on my face and for the first few months it significantly improved my face but I’m still not where I want to be and I’m almost 5-6 months after using. My question is if differin GEL emphasis on gel would work better than the cream version and work better than aklief?

My problem is with the texture that’s not going away and blackheads on my nose that won’t go no matter what I try in addition to some closed comodones on the face. Any other tips would be great too!

I'm tired of this shit honestly. Been in retinoids for more than a year, on aklief 4 months specifically, went from 10 inflamed spots and tons of blackheads/whiteheads to 2 red pimples at a time and some whiteheads/blackheads. But I still break out occasionally and skin is never 100% clear on the forehead even though I'm using Clindamycin as well. It's just too oily and no topical is cutting through that.

Should I just go the accutane route at this point because my skin does not seem to be fixable with topicals without cutting off the oil? Can't take hormonal meds because I'm a guy

Hello! I have been prescribed Aklief by my derm since I am dealing with acne on my face and chest. Recently, I went on a vacation overseas and I left my bag of skincare (with my almost full bottle of Aklief) at the hotel. It’s not an option for me to have my bag shipped (too expensive), and for some reason my local pharmacy doesn’t want to accept my prescription when I try to buy it off them, since according to them it had already been used (??). I am now looking to buy online and saw a reputable shop that sells skincare items from overseas that has this listing for Aklief. I was about to buy but realized that the packaging looks different from the one I previously had. The one I had before has a white bottle with the green logo and the name of the product in blue. The box also comes in white with blue and green accents.

I was wondering if anyone else is familiar with the packaging in the photo? I am now questioning its authenticity since I haven’t seen a photo of Aklief with the red accents. Price is also similar to the one I paid my derm for.

I have tried using Aklief (trifarotene) three times now, and every single time I end up stopping because of the "purge" and the irritation it causes on my skin.
I can find very few testimonials from people who have used Aklief for more than 3 months and who actually managed to get through the purging phase. I would really like to know if it's worth it. It’s supposed to be a powerful treatment, and I’m surprised to see so few positive comments.
I’m wondering if it’s because it doesn't work, or if it's because most people give up on the treatment before the end of the purge. I would love to hear your experiences with this treatment, especially regarding moderate to severe acne.
