The newest colors from 2024 are just okay… starlights introduction is just an off-white/champagne,wanna be light gold like an old person with a champagne color car, instead of making an actual good gold color.

Hey everyone,
For the last two weeks I’ve been going crazy trying to decide between the Sony WH-1000XM6 and the new AirPods Max 2. Which one would you have chosen?
As you can probably tell, I have a ridiculous headphone collection, but every pair has its own purpose.
I use my AirPods Pro 3 for everyday use, travelling, driving or walking around. My Sony XM5 stay in the studio so I can monitor microphone audio from my mixer or cameras and make sure everything sounds right. My SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless are exclusively for gaming.
The only thing missing was a pair dedicated to video editing and daily studio use on my MacBook.
That is why I was so stuck between these two. I felt like the XM6 would not really bring me anything new compared to what I already have, but at the same time the AirPods Max 2 worried me because of the weight.
I spent two full weeks overthinking this, barely sleeping, constantly going back and forward between them. In the end, I decided to go with the AirPods Max 2.
Now I’m curious… are you all this obsessive when it comes to headphones and audio gear, or am I just completely insane? 😂
What would you have done in my situation? And if you think you would have decided faster, how would you have approached it? Honestly, by the end of it I felt exhausted just trying to choose between these two.
Hello, anyone experiencing an issue with their airpods max 2 losing charge even when in their case and not in use? I would wake up to them and already almost they'll be at 60% battery.
Sooo you guys think I can glue this or should I get a new cushion. Do I need to get specifically apple ones or has anybody tried the offbrands?
I purchased the AirPods Max 2 a few days ago, and honestly, I’m a bit disappointed. Let me explain. I’ve been using the Sony XM5 for about three years, and I never really considered the AirPods Max before, mainly because of their ridiculous price, and also because I already had the AirPods Pro 2.
My main issue is the bass, it feels quite weak. The sound is clear, ANC is phenomenal, and transparency mode is excellent, but overall the audio feels a bit thin and could really use more depth. Maybe I’m just too used to the Sony XM5 after all this time, but in comparison, these sound somewhat shallow.
I’m not entirely sure what the reason is, but I don’t feel they justify the price. If I hadn’t sold my XM5 a few days ago, I would seriously consider returning them.

I use the airpod maxs 1. every day and just got the new ones. I don't notice literally anything difference. do I need to change some settings or is it because im on android or what
Hi everyone, first time APM owner here. I recently purchased the new APM2s mostly to use for work calls and listening to music at my desk. I'm interested in getting a stand that will support sleeping and charging the APMs. Part of my plan includes plugging them into a smart outlet so they will only charge in the evening to preserve battery health, so a stand that will put the APMs into sleep mode when not charging would be ideal. I've looked into the max stand (https://themaxstand.com/), but it's pricey and tbh sorta seems like they're about to go belly up.
Does anyone have suggestions on a good quality stand that supports charging and won't scratch the APMs from constant use? Thanks!
Got my first ever pair of AirPod Maxs with the new second generation and while there is a lot to love about them, I can’t quite get over the weight of them.
Does this ever go away? Do you get used to them?
Debating on if I should indeed keep them or just return them and keep using my AirPods Pro 3.
As the title says, should first time AirPods Max users purchase discounted AirPods Max 1 USB (~$100-$120 off) from retailers trying to offload, or shell out the full cost for the Max 2's? For the use case of listening to music with over the ear headphones, already deep into the Apple ecosystem.
Subreddits allude to there not being much of a difference in audio, just ANC upgrades (kind of). Thoughts?

They arrived with 86% battery level.
I linked them to my account then put them to charge until they’re fully charged, used them a bit for a phone call and a few music, nice!
The day after the battery was dead, put them to charge until they’re fully charged. This morning they’re down to 47% remaining battery…
They remained in their bra all the time
I tried a factory reset too but they keep eating charge while disconnected…
I don’t think it’s some hardware issue or else the battery wouldn’t be at 86% on arrival.
Any idea what I can try before returning them?

I'm taking my new APM2 for a spin, and holy cow, this blew me away.
Hey all. Just bought a used pair of APM usb-c yesterday, they were like new (maybe even brand new, they came in full original packaging) and have been working fine since then. Today, I plugged them into my computer via usb-c cable, which I have done before with these, and the all of the buttons suddenly stopped working. They still play audio, and I can still use the buttons to do all of the factory reset nonsense, which I have done extensively, and they still won't work. Has anyone encountered this problem before, and if so, did they find a way to fix it? If not, how cooked am I? What am I looking at on repair costs and such? Thanks!
hey y’all. so this is my first max and I searched and it seems it’s an issue with the 1st gen. I did the reset and it worked. but I’m wondering, should I just return them? do y’all think it’s a common problem ? idk just concerned I’ll be left with a brick.
I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this yet -- I just got my APM2's from my APM lightnings and noticed that when connected to my Mac or PC via Bluetooth, I get this white noise hiss any time audio starts up. It also takes a split second to actually start the audio, as if its taking a second to start up before playing. (Short sounds like notifications get noticeably cut off at the beginning.)
This issue doesn't occur when connected via USBC or when connected to my phone via either USBC or Bluetooth. It also doesn't occur during the noises made by the headphones (volume increase/decrease, connect/disconnect sounds, etc...)
This isn't a transparency or noise cancellation issue as the sound cuts out as soon as audio stops playing through the headphones.
This was not an issue with my APM lightning.
ATP I am not really sure what it could be, I have disabled hands free audio on my pc, disabled the microphone entirely on pc, I was originally using a Bluetooth 4.0 dongle without realizing it so I switched into my built in Bluetooth 5.2 module on my pc and it persists. My mac is the 2023 M2 pro which I think has Bluetooth 5.3.
Maybe I just need to wait on an eventual firmware update? Given the circumstances, it doesn't seem like a hardware issue. Its just weird that this was never an issue with my lightning APMs. Worst case scenario, I bought them at Costco and they have a 90 day return policy and I also have Apple Care if this is seeming more like a unit specific issue.
Is there somewhere I can go to do bug report on this?
Side note... I wear glasses, and noticed that the noise cancellation was noticeably less effective when I was wearing them vs when I wasn't. I guess that's just going to kinda be inherent to having a piece of metal creating a gap in the seal of the earcups but if anyone had any tips or anything like that to make noise isolation more effective while wearing my glasses that would be huge.
