OP bought her first fridge with her own money

OP is now very happy because she can store her cheese and meat inside. Few days ago I asked for suggestions about whether to buy online or offline. I bought it offline and from the brand Hyundai.

Travel - Jihad Protest Yesterday

Yesterday while I was travelling for my exams on Pune - Nagar Highway, there was significant gathering of people at Kinetic Chowk, upon asked they explained that it’s protest about some Patel guy who molested a girl in his passenger vehicle

I’m secular person and such instances are unfortunate, But I really think there were many ways to handle that matter rather than protest being Jagtap easily one of most powerful people in nagar

It’d be best if Sangram Jagtap starts to focus on Nagar’s development than making it about a particular religion time to time

A thief just pushed me back months financially

Last year I graduated, got my first job at a startup, and started earning around 50k/month. I come from a humble background — throughout my entire BTech I used a 10k Redmi phone while seeing everyone around me carrying flagship devices.

I always dreamed of owning one good phone someday. After starting work, I finally saved enough and bought an S24 Ultra worth around 70k. It honestly meant a lot more to me than “just a phone.” It was something I worked hard for and felt proud of.

And now it’s gone. Stolen during a train journey from Bangalore to Ahilyanagar after just 6 months of use at Daund railway station.

Yes, maybe I made the mistake of not keeping it hidden properly. But I genuinely don’t understand how people can just steal from someone like this. That phone wasn’t some luxury toy for me — it was months of work, savings, and a dream I waited years for.

The worst part is the thief probably can’t even properly use the device because it’ll likely get blocked or stripped for parts. So what was the point? For a few thousand rupees, you push someone else back by months financially and mentally.

People say “you’ll earn it back,” and yes, maybe I will. But it still hurts because for someone from my background, buying something like that wasn’t easy at all.

I know the police probably won’t help much here, but man… this genuinely shattered me.

Your city is beautifully ruthless

NRI, came Nagar sometime ago. So far the city is slow and still in survival mode. Power cuts and water supply is limited. Observed that most men are desperate. Figured out they aren’t desperate, they are lonely. They need someone to talk to. Women are conservative. There’s inter-dependance, not independence among the people. Every man and woman answers with a survival instinct. Everyone is in a survival rush, nobody respects what they put inside their bodies. Most of the people have migrated outside the city. Only ones left are with some steady jobs, businesses and ones who migrate from villages. You try to talk with an opposite gender, you’re looked on as if you are caught stealing Kohinoor. All the young men are desperately trying to figure out how to meet woman. Texting on instagram, no dating apps. It’s comfort if you don’t want to achieve anything in life. The ones who want to achieve have to get out of this place. I lived here during my early teens, recently realised how ruthless the city can be to you. It got better when you leave India. You find blondes, brunettes, Brazilians, and now you’re back to India to stay atleast a year or your Indian citizenship will be revoked as you’re cursed to have south asian genes, in a city which tells you that no matter what you have achieved, we are still closed for you. We do not care where you are from, we cannot mix with other people as it’s what been taught to us since we were kids.

Tornado In Nagar?

Technically speaking this ain't a tornado because it touches the ground. Its a funnel cloud and was spinning.

This was caught back in july 2021 from my terrace looking south from Kedgaon

Its a very rare sight because

Ahmednagar doesn't produce tornado like conditions.

“Yesterday I saw the news that Nagar Police is taking strict action against people found drinking or smoking in random grounds and black spots

Checking black spots is fine, but what about the actual peddlers? Everyone in the city knows who supplies stuff, yet only public checking videos are being made. Real action starts when suppliers get arrested, not when cameras start rolling.”
